A hilly tight course but very bare on fairways . Around the bunkers and greens it's just clay. Needs a lot of water.

Our first time to play golf in Ireland and we were welcomed by a very friendly staff. The golf shop has everything you need to play your rounds. Furthermore, the restaurant helped us Dutchies out to arrange for some take away sandwiches. The course was in excellent condition, the greens very fast and inquite difficult. The architecture of the course offers you beautiful views around the course. Interesting holes with lots of height differences demanding smart course management. The driving range can be found after a short walk. We started of with cloudy conditions but fortunately in the afternoon the clouds disappeared which enabled us this beautiful course even more. Would love to play this once more.

Nice, well kept and maintained course, but nothing spectacular. We expected views over the harbour and waterways, but apart from 1 hole they were not visible. No information whatsoever about the individual holes, no layout on the card, no boards at tee-off, very annoying! You don’t know which way to play, where the bunkers are, nothing!

No bins! Too few ball washers.

Mooie parkbaan.

Als je op een bepaalde hole bent zie je de haven van Cork

We hadden prachtig weer dus!

Pittige holes waarbij je niet verwacht dat je snel een dubbel bogey maakt.

The original nine holes of the course draw the golfer to the crest of the hill and offer marvelous panoramic views of the broad sweep of the River Lee and Cork’s busy lower harbour. It is worthwhile taking a moment, while your partners play, to savour the unique overview of the historic port of Cobh as well as the islands of Haulbowline, which is the Irish Naval base and Spike Island which is today a stunning visitor centre managed by Cork County Council. The course was extended in 1971 and the back nine, where several water features provide a nice contrasting challenge, help to complete a layout that demands subtlety and courage in equal measure. It offers golfers of all levels a challenge that is stimulating and interesting and one that demands the use of every club in the bag.
