Golf in Yorkshire
North Yorkshire is quite popular among tourist, mainly supported by the presence of two national parks: Yorkshire Dales National Park and North York Moors National Park. The Three Peaks area in the Yorkshire Dales is probably the most popular amongst tourists.
When visiting Yorkshire, the following highlights shouldn't be missed: Castle Howard, the city of York, the Cleveland Way Trail, Wentworth Castle, Whitby Abbey, Leeds and the national parks which we already mentioned.
If you are planning to play golf in Yorkshire, then the following Yorkshire golf clubs shouldn't be missed: Ganton Golf Club, The Alwoodley Golf Club, Moortown, Lindrick and Fulford Golf Club. But, Yorkshire has many other interesting golf clubs to offer, the best and the highest density of clubs can be found around Leeds and Sheffield and along the Yorkshire coast.
Getting to Yorkshire by public transport couldn't be easier and regular services link many of the area's most popular destinations. High speed trains from London or Edinburgh get you to the heart of Yorkshire in less than two hours. Mainland Europe (the Netherlands & Belgium) can be reached from Hull via regular ferry services. Yorkshire also several airports, of which Leeds Bradford Airport is the largest.
