Scotland

Scotland is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. Scotland is mainly surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean to the north and west, the North Sea to the northeast and the Irish Sea to the south. Scotland also has more than 790 islands, most of them located in the archipelagos of the Hebrides and the Northern Isles. The Old Course at St Andrews in Fife is considered the oldest golf course in the world and known throughout the world as 'The Home of Golf'. That name was given to St Andrews because the sport was first played on the Links course at St Andrews as early as the start of the 15th century!

The Links at Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club

Nice links course in the shadow of Prestwick Old Course. Greens fantastic but course layout not my favourite.

Dalmunzie

The scenery is delightful and the setting idyllic. This 9-hole golf course has the potential to be another 'hidden gem'. However, I think the hotel is being optimistic calling this mown field a golf course, and cheeky charging £15 for the pleasure of using it. The greens are barely distinguishable from the fairways. True, there are flags and tee boxes, and the tufts of un…

Dumbarnie Links

From the moment you arrive at Dumbarnie you get a feeling that you are about to experience something special. The practice facilities were excellent and gave me a taste of what to expect (greens were immaculate and very fast). The way the dunes surround you on each hole really does make you feel like you are alone on the course at times and the views around every corn…

Leven Links

We received a warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our round. Some challenging holes with several blind shots into the green. There are some tough par fours here and I could imagine that this course plays much harder in strong wind but lucky for us we played in excellent weather and I was able to avoid trouble on all 18 holes posting my best ever score. Not the most ma…

Torrance House Course

Nicely planned course with some challenging holes. Public course which is reflected in the general condition but well worth the green fee charged!

Excellent parkland golf course in a natural environment. Modern clubhouse (due to extensive fire some years back). Well worth a visit!

Kyles of Bute

Dev mooist…
