Bavaria as a region has everything a golfer could wish for: stunning landscape, superbly maintained courses, a culinary tradition that is always welcome after eighteen holes and excellent accessibility via Munich Airport from the Netherlands. It is no surprise that of all the German states, Bavaria draws the most international golfers. Leading Courses favourites include Golfclub München Eichenried and Golf Resort Achental in Chiemgau. München Eichenried, host of the BMW International Open, is the most acclaimed course in the region. Golf Resort Achental offers an entirely different experience: a relaxed course in the hilly Chiemgau with the Alps in the distance and an atmosphere that is quintessentially Bavarian. Munich Airport has direct flights from Amsterdam and other Dutch airports. Most top courses are within an hour's drive of the city.
