Edgbaston Golf Club

In the centre of Birmingham. A very historical and prestigious club. Not a long course off yellows at 5804 yards. Well maintained beautiful parkland course. With some very difficult greens that are well protected. Greens are fast. Bunkers are pretty deep and the rough is also deep ensure you bring your A game in terms of accuracy.

Well stocked pro shop, lovely changing facilities and a magnificent clubhouse with dining area, bar and spike bar along with outdoor terrace. Hole 1 tees off in front of the clubhouse and holes 9 and 18 return to it so good views from the terrace.

By sheer coincedence It's actually the second time that I played this lovely, Harry Colt designed, course Located in the city of Birmingham. Four years ago only a part of the course was accessible due to the torrential rain, but today the area has not seen any rain in more than a month.

It's hard to blame a course for lacking maintenance with this drought, but a large part of the course had turned yellow. Fairways and teeboxes were mostly in good shape and the greens were still excellent. I managed to find quite a few tricky bunkers which were not easy to get out from. Undulation is present but very doable and in most cases the course is not super hard with little to no out of bounds or red polls.

The course has only one par 5 that I managed to Birdy. There are also two drivable par 4's with some nasty bunkers left and right, which are quite inviting. All and all a fun day on course only a few minutes away from Brimmy city center.

An enjoyable first experience of Edgbaston Golf Club. Located just over a mile from Birmingham City centre, although you wouldn't know at all by the surroundings.

The fairways were very firm and a little brown, but that was to be expected given the recent hot & dry conditions we've recently had.

Tees were maintained nicely and the greens were very good - quick and quite undulating which made for tricky putting at times.

Overall a good experience and would definitiely return in the future.

Played in a Team event organised by Teetours. Great day all round.

Played here on a golf day and was pleasantly surprised, really nice course friendly staff and decent round played by me (one of my best) which as we all know gives us a better impression of the course.

Gentle hope to start get the drive away and enjoy the round! Lovely blind holes as well which you will always play better second time around.

So close to Birmingham city centre as well

Great food as well.
