À propos Golf De Thumeries
Founded in 1932 in the Lens mining region, Golf Thumeries-Moncheaux has a storied past. Unlike many clubs established by industrial wealth, this course owes its origins to the Béghin brothers, pioneers in the sugar industry. The original 9-hole course, designed by renowned English architect Percy Boomer, was a private retreat, reserved exclusively for the Béghin family, their friends, and business associates. Golf remained an intimate experience until the 1970s, when the family’s departure led to a decline in activity. However, by the late 1980s, the club embraced a new vision—expansion and accessibility. Under the leadership of Jean-Manuel Rossi, the course was extended to a full 18-hole layout, officially opening in September 1991. Today, while a distinct contrast remains between the classic "Boomer" design and the modern "Rossi" additions, the seamless integration of both eras has resulted in a course that continues to delight golfers.

ThumeriesGP Thumeries Regenachtige tweede dag en veel wind de eerste. Speciale baan, ben je nooit klaar mee. Leuk als je in de buurt bent, geen omweg waard.

ThumeriesJoué seulement l'aller dans un trip sur le secteur, golf sympa, tout plat où la gestion des longeurs est indispensable. Fairways pas mal cramés et greens fatigués mais un entretien très correct. Les installations sont pas mal et l'accueil très qualitatif.
ThumeriesWe waren hier voor de Promotion Messieurs, baan lag er voor de Grand Prix een stuk beter bij. Met name de greens waren wat hobbelig. PRO - Onderhoud goed voor tornooi, leuke sfeer. CON - Clubhouse wat simpel, vestiaires middelmatig.

ThumeriesMooie parkbaan met enkele waterpartijen. De greens waren helaas geprikt en gezand. Dit werd jammer genoeg niet op voorhand gezegd. Er was ook geen korting op de zomergreenfee.

ThumeriesParkbaan in een rustige omgeving rond Rijsel, ik speelde er enkele jaren geleden al eens maar heb de indruk dat het allemaal wat achteruit gegaan is.
De baan speelt wel leuk met hoge roughs en enkele uitdagende holes, alleen was de kwaliteit van de fairways, tee-boxen en vooral de greens ondermaats.
De ontvangst was wel vriendelijk en de prijs voor een greenfee is er betaalbaar.
