Parcours de golf très ordinaire, plat sans trop de difficultés, caddies sympathiques et attentifs à votre jeux, de bons conseils, peu de voiturettes en location, accueil très courtois, zone d'entrainement convenable, dommage que la météo ne soit pas au rendez-vous pluie et vent.

Royal Fes is een leuke , niet al te moeilijke baan op half uurtje van het centrum van Fez. Goeie faciliteiten. Helaas werd er hard gewerkt om het clubhuis op te knappen en konden er niet in voor een lekker drankje. Het is leuke combinatie met de andere banen in en bij Fez.

First time, beautiful course, not to long, greens and boxes are good, not every bunker has sand, fairways are ok. Staff very friendly!

Divertido campo a 20 minutos de Fez del maravilloso diseñador CB Robinson. Diseño muy divertido y entretenido con greens pequeños y movidos. Bonitos bunkers y lagos por el recorrido y muy como de jugar andando. Plano y distancia de green a tees cortas. Es un campo muy recomendable con un staff encantador.

The highest I had played golf before was in Madrid here in Europe but every time was in cold winter so had never felt the real effect of altitude on ball flight. Here in Fes it is around 700m above sea level and even with wind you can feel the ball goes a little bit more than usual. I played this course twice during the CR Golf Cup organized by the Fes Tourist Bard and it was quite fun event with a bunch of Spanish and French people. We played it the first day where it was dry and ball was rolling quite a bit, while the last day after heavy rain the day before the course was playing quite softer despite showing signs of lack of water during the summer. It really played different in between these two days. Morocco is under a big plan of expansion and improvement of infrastructure of their main cities to attract more tourists not only to their old traditional culture but also to their golf courses and this event was part of it. The process is long, but it is good to see people working and happy, with the commitment of showing more their country to people from all over the world. The Course was designed by Cabell Robinson 1994 and went on a renovation during 2015. Now some holes were changed in the routing (just switching order) in order to make it flow better and have it balances between front and back 9. Off the tee it is quite generous and the greens have speed and movement, you will mostly face demanding putts on every hole. Some of the greens are big like 15 or 17th while you have some small ones like 1st, 6th, 12th, 13th or 18th. The holes to highlight in my mind: - Par 5 4th has a challenging tee shot between trees and then water goes all along the right side and before the green. A 3 shooter for most of the golfers. - Long par 3 8th has a green sloping left to right, quite a demanding shot. - Loved dogleg 10th where a high cut off the tee will give you a shorter approach. - 14th another 4 dogleg right to a shallow wide green, avoid the trees on the tee shot! - 17th a long 3 over water to a sort of Redan big green … putting from long range will be fun. I liked it, water is much needed but it is a nice blend of open tee shots with fun approaches. Certainly worth a play.
