Royal Golf CourseOcean Golf CourseWouw , wat een uitzicht over de glooiende fairways. Met als hoogte punt zonsondergang zien bij hole 15 over t strand en oceaan. Zeer verzorgd Clubhuis. Zorgvuldig onderhouden fairways en greens. Zeer uitdagende holes van hoogte verschillen omhoog als omlaag. We huurden onze spullen daar en kregen nieuwe volle set Taylormade Q40. Op en top golfplezier in de Algarve

Royal Golf CourseTrès déçus de notre expérience. Les greens étaient en mauvais état, certains fairways très humides, et les départs ainsi que les bunkers manquaient clairement d’entretien. Pour 300 € à deux, nous nous attendions à un parcours bien mieux préparé et entretenu. Une expérience loin de nos attentes.
Ocean Golf CourseMooie baan, goed onderhouden en mooie greens. Mooie vergezichten en soms direct langs het strand.
Royal Golf CourseSoms zijn verwachtingen net als een goede drive: ze vertrekken veelbelovend, maar komen niet altijd precies uit waar je hoopt. De Royal Course was prima onderhouden en ook de huursets waren netjes, dus daar zeker geen klachten over. Wel wordt er momenteel flink gebouwd rondom de baan, waardoor het totaalplaatje wat minder idyllisch aanvoelde dan verwacht. En hoewel de baan een paar mooie holes heeft, vonden we er uiteindelijk maar twee à drie echt memorabel. De beroemde signature hole 16 is op foto’s en van bovenaf absoluut prachtig, maar live hadden we toch een iets groter “wow”-moment verwacht. Als bonus verloor mijn golfmaat onderweg nog een headcover en mocht hij daarvoor ook nog eens €30 afrekenen. Je moet er maar om lachen. Kortom: een gezellige dag gehad, goed gezelschap, prima gespeeld, maar de baan zelf komt niet in mijn persoonlijke eregalerij.

Ocean Golf Course
18 holesThe Ocean Golf Course features undulating fairways which run alongside nature reserve, before leading gently down to the shores of the Atlantic The front nine are located on a slightly hilly land which characterises Vale do Lobo, surrounded by pine trees with sea views from several holes. The back nine in particular are characterised by spectacular ocean views, with some holes almost stretching down to the beach. On reaching the brow of the hill on the 11th, players come suddenly upon a sight fit to take the most concentrated golfer’s breath away. The fairway runs directly down towards the beach and, for the next few holes, outstanding views and Atlantic breezes are guaranteed to make a player’s round exhilarating, even if his game is below expectations.
