Quinta do Vale Golf

We loved the course & value for money is completely unmatched in the Algarve, we were shocked how few were playing. The greens were a bit variable due to meadow grass ingression but overall it was well maintained with plenty of work ongoing. A VERY varied parkland course with plenty of tees & elevation changes, the back being a Competition standard. Loved it actually going back tomorrow.

Excellent course recently taken over by The Robinson hotel chain specifically DHM ltd who manage Quinta da Ria/Cima. They are refurbishing the course extensively but it’s still very playable. This isn't an easy course (particularly on the front because of lots of water in play) but a friendly course if you play to your ability. It’s a championship design with a huge variety of holes shots challenges. My wife & I play off 12/16 (you know good one day ?) and love this course now we’ve found it. Not much in terms of food but a nice clubhouse, friendly team & very good buggies. If you visit the Eastern Algarve don’t miss it as it improves in every respect going into the autumn.

Upon arrival the views of the whole course are one of the best you will see unfortunately the course and tee boxes were not in good condition for a Seve Signature course. 14 holes have water and with a mixture of handicap groups playing it still takes 5 hours in a buggy. If its windy you will find the water more than a handful of times. Would play again but as a group of 8 this only got an average score.

A long and quite demanding course, so it can feel like a tough day if you’re not hitting it well. That said, it’s still an enjoyable round with some strong holes and enough variety to keep it interesting. Not really a place for a relaxed easy game, but if you enjoy a course that asks questions all the way through, it’s a good one to play.
