Club de Golf La Cañada

La Canada is a nice course, but unfortunately it mixes great holes with a few very uninspiring, forgettable holes. Fortunately, the course is well maintained and paired with a mostly nice design, it's a solid course to play. Holes 6-9 are the weakest although the beautiful approach on hole 7 is the exception, while holes 12-18 are the best. Overall, the back 9 is the better of the two, it's more challenging, better designed and offers some amazing views. Value for money is ok but nothing amazing, but realistically, expect everything in the Sotogrande area to be expensive. The practice facilities are decent and you can hit off the grass on the range which is a plus, but for all else the facilities are not special. The overall atmosphere is great and a lot of members are around which makes the course feel more alive. However, do expect to be paired up with members who are on average, not very good. I played with a bunch of seniors who were nice enough (didn't really speak English, only Spanish), but they were not at all good golfers which makes it a bit of a pain to play with them, the club/staff could take this into account. Sadly, service overall isn't good: I used a third party to book my tee times and showing 3 different proofs of having paid/showing my voucher, they couldn't see it yet in their system and therefore wouldn't believe me. After 15 mins they told me to go to their Admin to talk to them, who were able to solve it quickly. However, the fact that they take so long (taking up your practice time), that they refuse to believe me and that they send me to Admin (instead of going to Admin themselves) is ridiculous. The Admin people were great, the people in the shop were annoying. All in all a good day, but make sure you're ok with being paired up as its a busy course.

La Canãda is een aangename, lokale golfbaan die vooral gericht lijkt op golfers uit de regio. Verwacht geen topresort of uitzonderlijke faciliteiten, maar wel een ontspannen sfeer en een toegankelijke baan. De baan zelf is leuk om te spelen en goed onderhouden, maar de tee boxen konden duidelijk beter. Op verschillende holes waren ze ongelijk of minder verzorgd dan verwacht, wat afbreuk doet aan de speelervaring. Al bij al een prima golfbaan voor een ontspannen ronde, zeker voor lokale spelers, maar er is nog ruimte voor verbetering om de algemene kwaliteit naar een hoger niveau te tillen.

El club está bien. Los 9 primeros hoyos son bastante monótonos, los 9 segundos una maravilla. Lo que no se puede es cobrar 5 euros por 30 bolas de prácticas, en un campo público. Hay que ser honesto, y querer que la gente repita, y estos detalles dan una relación de lo que importa los clientes.

in tegenstelling tot de vele andere golfclubs in de omgeving voelt je hier echt het kloppende hart van een echte familieclub; Families met kinderen en grootouders lopen er rond, de driving range zorgt voor een leuke vibe om en rond het clubhuis en de ontvangst is zeer hartelijk. Voor de zeer schappelijke greenfee krjig je een zeer interessante golfbaan aangeboden met veel uitdagingen. De vele vergezichten over Sotogrande en omgeving maken het plaatje volledig af. Mijn favoriete golfbaan in de omgeving van Sotogrande!

Ancien parcours demandant de la précision. Le bois 3 est souvent préférable au driver. Assez varié avec des doglegs et plusieurs deuxième coups se jouant en aveugle. Greens très rapides et bien travaillés. Bel environnement. Tarif très raisonnable.
