Chi è Sicilia’s Picciolo Etna Golf
Il Club nasce nel 1989 con la realizzazione del primo campo da golf della Sicilia da parte del famoso architetto Luigi Rota Caremoli, l’unico in Italia ad essere stato ammesso al British Golf Course Architects. L’architetto Rota Caremoli ha saputo sfruttare al meglio i 44 ettari di terreno collinare, inserendo magistralmente gli ostacoli tecnici nel contesto. Tanto da far pensare ad un tracciato del tutto naturale. Il campo ha avuto l’onore di ospitare 5 open: dal 1995 al 1997, per ben 3 anni consecutivi, il Sicilian Ladies Italian Open; nel 2010 una tappa dello European Senior Open e nel 2011 la tappa italiana del Sicilian Ladies Italian Open.

Il Picciolo Golf ClubDeze baan gespeeld op onze rondreis op Sicilië. Gereserveerd via Leading Courses , dat ging perfect zelfs nog goedkoper dan rechtstreeks bij de golfclub zelf. Ontvangst supervriendelijk. De baan zelf is lastig. Nauwe fairways en blinde greens. Onderhoud kan beter, veel “onkruid” op de greens. Oefenfaciliteiten prima. Mooi clubhuis.

Il Picciolo Golf ClubCharmante baan met enkele opvallende holes. Smalle landingsgebieden en kleine greens maken het gebrek aan lengte meer dan goed. Nomen est omen: op vrijwel elke hole is de majestueuze Etna te zien.
