Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club

A very well maintained course with a lot of fun holes. The greens and fairways are especially in fine condition in the summer months. My favorite hole would be the par-5 13th which requires a well thought out strategy and fine execution. Staff are very friendly and would definitely recommend to anyone in the Lisbon area looking for a fun course!

Quinta do Peru, located about 30 minutes south of Lisbon near the Arrábida Natural Park, is a charming parkland course set among beautiful pine trees and built on sandy soil, which keeps the playing surfaces firm and enjoyable throughout the year. The course opened in 1994. The layout has a relaxed, almost homely atmosphere. It feels very much like a members’ club rather than a busy resort course, and most of the membership consists of experienced golfers, giving the place a strong golfing culture. They also had the exact length to the pin of all par 3's written down on the tee, very handy! The club is currently entering a new phase of development, with plans for a hotel and some rerouting of holes to make the course more accessible for both tourists and local players. Despite these changes, the friendly atmosphere remains one of the club’s greatest strengths. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, and lunch on the terrace after the round was excellent.

I have played this course several times now, and the last time it was in poor condition. Now the course was back in good shape, especially considering the severe weather the day before. The course presents a nice challenge for golfers on every hole.

Nice atmosphere. Perfect an really fast greens. Good design with many short but challenging par 4s.
