Club de Golf RACE

Tenía pendiente jugar el recorrido pitch and putt desde hace tiempo ya que me habían hablado muy bien de ello. Y es cierto que no defrauda. Con distancias entre 75m y 120m, son pares 3 muy divertidos donde hacer 3 golpes no siempre es fácil. Me han gustado especialmente los hoyos 4 (el más largo) y hoyo 8 (green complicado). Quizás los bunkers necesiten algo más de arena, pero siguen jugables.

Campo que nunca defrauda, en estado siempre impecable! El tee del 10 supongo que en reforma cuando jugué. El hoyo 15 es mi favorito, darle duro y segundo golpe complicado a green movido! El staff siempre atento y agradable.

Siempre un gusto jugar este campo. La zona de casa club con sus zonas de calentamiento de putt y chip en diferentes niveles es muy bonita. Pares 3 largos en general, pero mención especial al 13 con unas bonitas vistas a la sierra. Es un campo con bastante desnivel así que uno se pondrá en forma para andarlo! La zona de barra es muy cómoda y sirven muy buena comida.

After playing RACE in December last year, we’re now back in the hottest month of the year in Madrid—August.

A day after the Madrid Professional tournament, the greens were still super fast, and the entire course was in excellent shape.

What I love about this course is the combination of playability and challenge. The rough is well-maintained, so even if you miss the fairway, you still have a chance, and you must be seriously offline to lose a ball.

There are many undulating slopes, with ups and downs where the right kick can result in a monster drive or stop a shot that was too short. Several par 5s are reachable if you have a good drive and a long second shot. The 17th is an amazing par 3, about 185 meters from the elevated yellow tee with about a 20-meter drop—just be sure to avoid missing right.

The clubhouse is a mix of traditional and modern design and feels very cozy. The tunnel where you pick up your buggy feels like the start of an F1 Grand Prix, probably a nod to their RACE origins. The staff is super nice, and the calamari is a great choice for lunch.
