Invergordon Golf Club
About Invergordon Golf Club
Invergordon golf course is a parkland course, mainly level with open fairways. The course is accessible and forgiving with limited areas of rough and is ideal for golfers at all levels. Approved golfing carts are allowed for those who wish to use them. All our holes enjoy extensive views of the Cromarty Firth and the course rates as one of the most scenic in Scotland. Originally a nine hole course the club was extended to eighteen holes in 1996 and now has some good testing par fours and a dog leg par five. The 8th has a natural pond and along with the 3rd and 9th is surrounded by rhododendron bushes known as the American Gardens, a beautiful setting in late spring.

Invergordon is typical of many local Scottish Golf Clubs - an honesty box for green fees, or pay at the small bar if it's open, parking for around 15 cars, friendly members and a fun golf course. A great reminder that golf is a game for everyone in Scotland.
The course is different from many of its better known neighbours as it's parkland, with gentle elevation changes and lots of strategically placed mature trees. (Including one that due to recent growth seems to have turned the 170 yard par 3 10th into a small dog leg! Time to get the branch trimmers out...) It's an easy walk, in pretty good condition, at least in the dry summer months and very enjoyable. Value wise at £45 not too bad either. If you want to mix some better value golf with, for example, Dornoch or Brora it's certainly worth considering.

A pleasant welcome and some lovely views over the Cromarty Firth sadly the course is a little wet in places and has a rather boring stretch of holes that just go back and fore. Poor practice facilities and restricted parking and a rather tired looking clubhouse and locker room. Course looked reasonably well maintained considering the time of year played although no bunkers in play and on 1 temp hole.

Gentle opening with a short par 3 and a par 4 gives a gentle start to the course. Not overly long but premium on accuracy as stray from fairway and rough can be penalising. Extremely limited practice facility clubhouse quite small but very friendly and welcoming staff
