Dalbeattie Golf Club
About Dalbeattie Golf Club
Parkland Course consisting of seven par 4's and 2 par 3's. For gents the par and SS is 68 and for ladies a testing 70. The layout provides an excellent challenge for Golfers of all abilities. There are a few gentle slopes to negotiate but you are rewarded with some truly magnificent panoramic views along the Urr valley, north to Cairnsmore of Carsphairn and some to Kippford and the Lake District hills. The course is a haven for wildlife - birds of prey fly overhead, deer are often seen and woodland songbirds abound in the Rounall Wood, which is adjacent to the course. During weekdays the course tends to be fairly quiet during the day. Visitors are made welcome any day of the week. If a club competition should be in progress, every effort will be made to accommodate you. Weekend tee times should be booked, Golfing parties are accepted. Motorised buggies available. Access to the club car park is off Maxwell park and is signposted from the Haugh of Urr road B794.

Played on a beautifully crisp March morning- the golf course was in great condition for the time of year, helped by the use of winter tees.
The greens were true and comparatively quick despite the morning dew.
The fairways were in good condition as well.
Plenty of variety in the different holes and a challenge for the average golfer.
Well worth a visit.

Prijs-kwaliteit prima, eenvoudig maar heel gastvrij.
