Dunaverty Golf Club - A Hidden Gem Can it compete with Ailsa, Kingsbarns or the other bucket-list courses? No, certainly not. But Dunaverty Golf Club doesn’t need to. We, 8 golfers from Germany and Austria on a quest for true links golf – absolutely fell in love with it. No luxury resort, no crowds, no fuss. Just an honest old links in a spectacular setting, where the sea, the wind and the landscape dictate the game. What Dunaverty lacks in fame, it more than makes up for in charm, character and authenticity. It may never appear on many golfers’ bucket lists, but it delivers something increasingly rare: a genuine links experience that feels completely untouched by time. If you already play the Machrihanish courses you must come here too. The welcome is as warm and genuine as it gets. You park in the tiny car park, step into the equally tiny clubhouse, browse the small pro shop and perhaps grab a bite in the restaurant, which doesn’t even serve alcohol because it has never needed a licence. Everything feels wonderfully old-fashioned, as if time has passed this corner of Scotland by. But the moment you step onto the 1st tee, you realise you’ve found somewhere truly special.

Piccolo campo all'estremo sud del Mull of Kintyre, corto ma scenografico.

A beautiful walk in this peaceful corner of nature. This traditional and charming links course @dunavertygolfclub1889 is laid out among the sandy seascape of South Kintyre’s stunning coastline
