One of the top-quality courses in Madrid, where it’s easy to book a green fee. Unlike private courses with limited visitor access, such as Villa de Madrid or Hipica, here the club welcomes visitors. The course features beautifully contoured fairways and imposing bunkers. Among the most interesting holes are the two that play over water (holes 7 and 17). A particular challenge is the par-5 12th hole, which is one of the longest in the whole of Spain. The course culminates in the 18th hole, with water on the left-hand side of the green. When booking, you must provide a scan of your ID, as you’ll be entering the Santander bank headquarters complex.

Unfortunately, we were only able to play nine holes, but from what I saw, this is a proper championship golf course with a very challenging layout. The fairways are wide, yet the course still demands accuracy and good course management. The greens are extremely fast, so you really need to check carefully whether you are putting uphill or downhill, as it can make a massive difference. The entrance is quite unusual, with strict security measures in place because the course is owned by Santander Bank, so don’t forget to bring your passport. There is also a large pro shop, the staff were very friendly, and the changing rooms were spacious and well maintained.

Great course. The course was in excellent condition despite the hot and dry weather. Beautifully maintained fairways and greens. The layout is both challenging and rewarding, offering a great experience for golfers of all skill levels. The fairways are wide so quite forgiving. The facilities are top-notch. The entrance of the premises is quite impressive: The golf course is situated on the property of Banco Santander. So security is high and you have to show your passport. The clubhouse is enormous but as a result it lacks a bit of atmosphere. The dressing rooms are so big you could get lost. Unfortunately I only played the back 9, but would want to go back to play the full course. Hole 17 is beautiful par 3 over the water, which makes the tee shot quite intimidating. If you can only play 1 round of golf while in Madrid, I would recommend this one.I highly recommend it to anyone looking for one of the best golfing experiences in the Madrid area.

An open and long course with stunning fairways and perfect greens that roll fast and true. Excellent clubhouse. My favorite golf course in Madrid.

Championship Course
The par 72 golf course of Club de Golf Santander, was designed by the renowned U.S. architect Mr. Rees Jones. From the black tee or last tee-off point, Golf Santander has the longest golf course in Spain and one of the longest in Europe. It's an extremely demanding golf course and an excellent test for even the best professionals. However, what makes a well-designed golf course is not its toughness but its versatility. The right balance between the skill of the player and the difficulty of the course is achieved by including numerous tee-off platforms (up to 8 per hole). A course such as this presents a challenge to players at different levels, offering enjoyment to masters and beginners alike.
