Sometimes you have these golf courses that look so good, (like the one above) and you want to book a tee-time right away. Then the real hassle starts: calling a foreign club often causes language problems and receiving a reply to an email takes a couple of days. Here at Leadingcourses.com we think booking a tee-time should be more convenient: in your own language and whenever and wherever you want. That’s why we started implementing online booking systems into our platform. Right now we have over 400 bookable clubs across Europe, but this is just the beginning. Here are the six best golf courses in Spain with tee-times bookable on our platform.

1. Finca Cortesín Golf Club

Finca Cortesín, located very near the Mediterranean Sea and in a privileged area of Andalusia, has become a reference in the world of the golf. At almost 7,000 meters from the back tees it is considered one of the longest courses in Europe. The natural environment and landscape of Finca Cortesin are one of it’s most attractive features. The course is designed by Cabell Robinson and has more than 100 bunkers. It is considered one of the best golf courses (and the best Resort) in Spain. The special location of the layout will allow the player to enjoy wonderful views of the Mediterranean sea and mountains. Finca Cortesín is also not cheap: green fee prices starting at – € 170.

2. Club de Golf La Reserva

Club de Golf La Reserva – Sotogrande, located north of Gibraltar, is an 18-hole golf course designed by American architect Cabell B. Robinson. The course, opened in August 2003, offers a spectacular round. Running between lakes and trees, it is now considered to be one of the best golf courses in Spain. La Reserva de Sotogrande lies in a beautiful natural setting in the upper part of Sotogrande. Bordered by one of the most exclusive and best managed golf courses in Spain, its commanding position offers spectacular views of the Mediterranean and one of the best golf courses in Europe. Be prepared for a higher green fee price: starting at – € 190.

3. Club de Golf Alcanada

Club de Golf Alcanada is considered – by golfers – the best golf course on the beautiful Balearic Island of Mallorca. The course is situated in the Alcudia Bay, on a stretch of land which slopes gently down to the edge of the sea. It is covered with pine, olive and holm oak trees while almost every hole provides a great view of the unmistakable lighthouse and the Sierra de Levante mountains. The course itself was designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Jr. and a reasonably strong handicap is recommended. Green fees start at around – € 64.50.

4. PGA Catalunya Resort

PGA Catalunya is the latest resort to be added to our directly bookable clubs, and it’s about time! Its reputation certainly precedes it here. Known around Europe as the host for many prestigious professional events (Spanish Open x3). With two world-class golf courses consistently ranked among the best in Europe, PGA Catalunya Resort has everything the insightful golfer could wish for. The course itself is very beautiful but also quite difficult. With its naturally undulating terrain, the fairways can seem quite narrow when you are driving off from the tee. However, they open up for the second shot, before reaching greens which are wide but full of secrets. Green fees here start around – €71 (Tour Course), – €89 (Stadium Course)

5. Golf Santander

Upon its opening in 2005, Golf Santander was considered one the best golf courses in Spain. The Rees Jones design has since become a popular destination for golfers and has jumped into our list at number 4. The course is located just 20 minutes from the center of Madrid, making it easily accessible from anywhere in Europe. Although it is one of the longest courses in Europe, it successfully balances this challenge by including up to 8 tee-off platforms per hole. This has undoubtedly contributed to the course’s popularity, as it offers enjoyment to the advanced and beginners alike. Green fees are a little expensive here – € 120.

6. Las Colinas Golf & Country Club

The fact that Las Colinas maintains such an impressive rating from almost 300 reviews is a credit to the course in itself. This is architect Cabell B. Robinson’s third course on our list and has been voted as one of the top 100 golf courses in continental Europe. The course itself is long, undulating and requires a buggy but it nestles into its surrounding environment so well. One of the best golf courses in the Valencian Community!
