Kings Links is a traditional, well-established 18-hole links course with a wide variety of holes that will make you sit up and take notice. The outward nine holes are played facing north, with the inward nine holes played facing south. It is a typical links course with a sandy surface, but little rough. Despite the lack of rough, the mass of bunkers and extremely fast greens create a real links type test to rival any course in the area. Like any great links, you have to be in position on the fairway and from there you must plot your way around.

Kings Links CourseDe Kings Links course is één van de gemeentelijke (True) Links banen in Aberdeen. Geen uitgebreide faciliteiten of clubhuis. Betalen aan het loket (30 pond) en gaan.. Trolley - indien beschikbaar - krijg je zo voor niks mee. Parkeren doe je langs de weg bij het stadion van Aberdeen FC.
Bij het naast gelegen driving range complex met shop kan je vooraf nog wat ballen slaan zou je dat willen. Staat los van de baan. De baan is grotendeels vlak met aan de zeekant een aantal holes die tegen het duin aan liggen. Op bepaalde holes - met name 2e deel - is de rough kniehoog. Bal erin betekent nieuwe spelen want terugvinden is haast niet mogelijk.
Je kan deze baan prima gebruiken om warm te draaien voor het grote werk op de andere banen in de buurt zoals Cruden Bay, Royal Aberdeen en Murcar. Vanaf Kings Links kijk je uit op de Royal.
Gewoon ongedwongen een rondje True Links.

Kings Links CourseMunicipal course in Aberdeen. Really nice fairways and greens are really nice. A true Links dating from the 1600's but well kept. ClubHouse very basic with change rooms and toilet. The Golf club dating 1872 is in the other side of the road and is only for members. Really nice and helpful people. Green Keeper a real nice person and cause kept as well as one could. Price is 21 pounds! By the beach natural links. Practice range at the side is private but is quite nice. The only municipal house in Aberdeen were you can hire clubs.

Kings Links CourseVoor maar £20 hebben we hier gespeeld. En wat hebben we een lol gehad! Leuke holes op een (voor een municipal course) zeer goed onderhouden baan.
Genoeg ruimte vanaf de tees om te spelen met de wind. Ik kan het iedereen aanraden. Ernaast ligt een driving range die niet bij de baan hoort, maar waar je evt wel kan oefenen.

Kings Links CourseKings Links is a real hidden gem that serves up some classic links golf and although there are parts of the course that don’t quite shine as brightly as the holes closest to the sea this is an enjoyable test of the ground game for the most part.
really enjoyed Kings Links and the challenge that it presented. Not only is it exceptional value at only £15.25 per round but it serves up a real treat of simple, yet beguiling, links golf.

Kings Links Course
18 holesKings Links Golf Course is located on the Aberdeen beach front, where golf has been played in this area since 1661. Set between the city and the sea and using the natural undulating terrain of the dunes, along with the varying wind conditions, Kings Links offers an enjoyable challenge for golfers keen to experience authentic links golf. The current Kings Links course was laid out in 1872 and it is a classic links course so characteristic of Scotland’s east coast. Think big dunes, very quick greens and lots of bunkers. Described as “golf in the raw”, watch out if the wind is blowing! At 6442 yards Par 71, with four par 5's and five par 3's the course has great variation.
