Dit is één van de gemeente banen van Aberdeen (andere is King Links). Voor 30 pond speel je een ronde waarbij de fairways op en neer gaan en het advies is om de rough te vermijden. Hoewel de baan er prima bij ligt is het onderhoud begrijpelijk minder. De greens waren niet echt snel. Zoals gezegd veel fairways die je omhoog en omlaag voeren. Hoewel op veel holes het "allemaal voor je ligt" zijn er ook holes waar je echt even goed moet kijken heb je de heuvel niet gehaald. HErt is geen lange baan dus binnen 4 uur rond is mogelijk. Wij zaten achter een clubwedstrijd maar dat liep lekker door.

Je hebt tijdens de ronde uitzicht op de bedrijvige haven van Aberdeen waar de sleepers en bevoorradingsschepen voor de olie platforms in de Noordzee, liggen.

Betalen doe je bij de eerste tee. Inslaan doe je in de slagkooi bij de 1e tee.

Drankje drinken kan je na afloop in het clubhuis van de lokale vereniging (Nigg Bay Golf Club)

En voor 30 pond zeker gebruiken als opwarmer voor de andere Links banen in de omgeving.

Parcours joué par temps brumeux! Avec Marc (joueur local). C’est un magnifique links sur une colline pleine de dévers et de trous à l’aveugle guidés par un arsenal de mirs. Il est très bien entretenu avec des greens de bonne qualité. J’ai pris beaucoup de plaisir à le jouer sur un plan technique et stratégique, car guidé par Marc. Je reviendrai sûrement!

Recently played with a works colleague during the week, the first time both of us played the course. Green fees quite cheap, that said it is a municipal track. Considering the time of the year the condition of the course wasn’t too bad Although greens were substantially slow, the general condition of the rest of the course was pretty good.

The course itself is located close to the coast so always a windy tester game with views of the harbour and a stunning lighthouse in the backdrop.

Unfortunately we only played 12 holes and walked in, all the titleist’s we had with us were never to be seen again, not for the fact that we lost them, all pinched by crows so the round wasn’t that cheap after all.

If I were to go back and play again would only be with an arsenal of cheapo balls and certainly not a premium ball.

Uitzicht op zowel, stad, haven als zee. De blinde holes zijn leuk, gelukkig zijn de fairways breed. De greens lagen er perfect bij. £ 20 voor 18 holes op een baan die er zo mooi bij ligt, is echt value for money.
