Amendoeira Golf Resort

Very friendly people in general, no complaints there. We did get the feeling that the course was somewhat run-down, a little neglected, lacking in TLC… of course, it is a huge area, but even so. And I still maintain that I should be allowed more than 19 strokes ;) I really do find this course quite challenging. Of course, it was hot – well over 30 degrees – but even so. It would also be nice if you could pay at the soft drinks machine with your phone or smartwatch instead of with coins, which we as guests don’t have. And, in the restaurant, a can or glass bottle of Coca-Cola Zero instead of a glass with barely any fizz would be nice too. But it’s still a really nice course to play. A tip, especially when it’s hot: take a buggy. There are long distances between some of the holes, and quite a few changes in elevation too.

Excelentes instalaciones, campo muy bien cuidado. Muy movido, muchas subidas y bajadas. Un poco dificil orientarse en algun hoyo. Greenes bien cuidados.

De Faldo course gespeeld. Receptie vriendelijk en behulpzaam, clubhuis heeft een luxe uitstraling. We kregen een medespeler mee, die hier al jaren lid was. Dit was erg prettig omdat hij precies de mogelijkheden en onmogelijkheden kon aangeven . Er zijn veel hoogte verschillen, hierdoor is het soms wat onoverzichtelijk. De kwaliteit van de baan is goed. Alles zit goed in het gras. Greens niet al te snel. Op sommige holes indrukwekkende vergezichten. Zeker een aanrader als je in de buurt bent.

Majestic, wide, open, but by no means easy due to myriad of bunkers, some of them vast which is signature of Faldo design. The layout is beautiful, strategic and challenging. All practice facilities of the highest caliber, driving range openness is facinating. Club house is stately and spacious with great selection of beers and food. Great quality and price ratio.

Played faldo course and enjoyed it. The challenge is great and having a proven architect unlike some other courses in the area makes for a balanced and fun challenge. Maintenance was good. Clubhouse is nice but with the buggy it is a bit up and down as the course is hilly. Staff wasnt the friendliest in particular at the reception. Food at restaurant was nice. Value was really good as buggy is included.
