Kamień Country Club

We played a tournament in Kamien while on holidays. Not much has changed since the last visit here. Course needs extra funds to get to the point where it is enjoyable. Currently it is a very tough set up, much tougher than its slope and rating would suggest. Grass on the tee boxes and fairways is high. Rough is very penalising with thick, wet grass left and right everywhere. Balls in the rough nearly impossible to locate. Greens are slow despite fresh cut. On hole number three bushes are growing in what used to be a water hazard in front of the yellow tee box and now degenerated into swamp. Blind opening shot. Hole #13 bushes are growing in the water hazard in front of the green which makes approach shot super hard to judge. Mosquitoes were another plaque, bring plenty of repelant.

We understand this is a low key project with limited budget but savings reduced playability of this course.

On the positive note food was great and members are lovely bunch of people.

op vakantie deze golfbaan gespeeld. Alles eenvoudig maar prima voor vakantie golf. De ontvangst was erg hartelijk. Eigenaar en manager Roger is erg vriendelijk. Praat goed Engels. Baan erg rustig dus je kunt zonder reserveren terecht.

De baan zelf is leuk om te spelen. De eerste negen meer bosbaan en weinig spannend: heerlijk op vakantie toch. De tweede negen meer water op en rond de holes en meer spannende afslagen van de tee en naar de green.

Als je in de buurt bent: spelen deze baan. Oh ja : 18 holes voor 40€ ook leuk voor het vakantie budget.

Interesting playground. It is a mix of links and park type course.

Low profile, budget course. Front nine is a target golf course with narrow fairways surrounded by trees. Back nine is more open yet more difficult due to v deep rough.

Fairways were running fast because of drought which is fine. Yet, greens were v slow which made putting quite annoying. Molehills on the longest par 5 were in play in the fairway. There is no pro-shop in the clubhouse.
