Rosa Golf Club

Rosa looks amazing in early spring with its birds, blooming bushes and trees releasing fresh buds. Course is in amazing conditions particularly fairways, foregreens and bunkers. Greens were a bit tricky with fake breaks and bit uneven speeds but this might to do with morning dew. The only missing element were boards showing the direction of the next tee, it is easy to get lost on the course if you play it occasionally. Value for money is second to none in Poland we paid PLN250 for early Sat tee time. Highly recommended, courses design is getting more challenging as you play especially holes number 7 & 12 are true test of target golf. Plenty of water and some water hazards are not visible from tee boxes and fairways so do take some extra balls with you.

Prachtig aangelegde en onderhouden golfbaan. Mooi clubhuis. Heel rustig toen wij speelden, er waren nauwelijks flights die dag. Golfbaan is omgeven door landerijen en bos. Verschillende waterpartijen en bunkers die het een uitdagende golfbaan maken. Wij komen er zeker terug.

Half bewolkt, zeer warm en windvlagen

Tee :

4 tees met kleuren, intensief in gebruik door de vele divots, maar nog genoeg plaats om te spelen

Uitdagende layout, niet gemakkelijk, veel water en bunkers

Terrein :

Fairway in uitstekende staat, mooie lijn tussen de lage rough en eerstgenoemde

Bunkers met hark in perfecte staat en strategisch gelegen, wachtend op hun prooi

Green :

Zeer mooi afgewerkt, snel en groot, duidelijke afscheiding met de apron

Buggy :

Aanwezig zonder GPS

Restaurant :

Gesloten op maandag

Enkel een drankje was mogelijk

Een terugkomer waardig?

Hou je van water dan moet je hier zijn, persoonlijk voor mij, iets te veel van het goede

Hoed af voor het onderhoudspersoneel voor hun inzet.

Rosa Private is designed by Hans-Georg Erhardt. I know him from his work at Fontana in Austria, and I really liked that course.

This club makes a very good impression. It's easy to see that a lot of money was spend here. On maintenance level this was the best of the 6 so far I played in Poland. I mean it's really very good. Even though it was 30°C and sunny for days, some of the fairways were a bit wet, because they irrigate it intensively. This could easily make the top 100 of Continental Europe on maintenance level.

Knowing how well it's prepared, it's amazing you can get to play it for 200 Zlotys, about 45 EUR. It must be one of the best values for money in Europe.

All that said I return to the course. If you look a few seconds at the course map, it will feel like a very difficult course, which it is. There are water hazards everywhere. And it is also well bunkered. I found it too difficult. Definitely not a course that I would want to be a member at. It's intimidating. Funny that I found hole 6 one of the best holes (stroke inedx 18), someone else mentioned it as a boring one.

Unfortunately the kitchen was closed on Monday, so we only had a drink.

If you are ok with a lot of water on a golfcourse, you should check this out.
