Sierra Golf Club

Sierra sets a very high bar for course maintenance. The avenue of linden trees along the access road is already impressive. The clubhouse is maintained in an English style, with a terrace that allows for larger numbers of guests in the warmer months. The quality of the tee boxes, fairway, bunkers, and foregreen remains impeccable. Only the enormous greens, although fast and level, were poorly trimmed at the fringes. The shrubs and flower beds are meticulously maintained. The course design is somewhat monotonous; it's difficult to pinpoint signature holes. We liked the dog leg left of the par-4 hole number 7, a classic target golf hole with a narrow landing area off the tee, a tree guarding a low approach onto the green surrounded by bunkers. The par-4 18th is also one to remember for its risk vs. reward design and uphill approach shot.

Met mooi weer deze licht glooiende parkbaan 18 holes met buggy gespeeld. De greenfee bedraagt 90€ pp en de buggy 35€ wat voor deze baan relatief erg duur is. De omgeving is prachtig en de baan is enigszins simpel zonder echt uitdagende holesen dat werd ook wel verzorgd door zeer langzaam spelende personen voor ons. Het duurde bijna 5 uur om na de 18 holes binnen te komen. De baan ligt een uur rijden van Gdańsk

Eerste 9 breed hoge rough ligt niet in de weg kom je daar terecht dan is het balverlies

Tweede 9 zijn technischer opgebouwd de hoge rough begint mee in het spel te komen

Afstand tee fairway afwisselend ver dan soms dicht

Zeer verzorgd en het onderhoud is constant bezig de divots met zand te behandelen

Terrein:

Zeer uitdagende en open baan en vooral brede fairways

Een strakke scheidingslijn tussen fairway en de lage rough

Bunkers (afwerking fenomenaal) zijn speelbaar en liggen praktisch steeds rond de green

Green:

Groot, mooi afgereden, maar snel en de scheidingslijn met apron is overal duidelijk

Buggy:

Aanwezig zonder GPS

Voor de uitzondering rijden ze hier met buggy’s op een benzinemoter (enkel de choke ontbrak)

Restaurant:

Vriendelijk, eenvoudig en zeer prijsbewust

Verstaan (engels) is een eikel punt, gelukkig bied google translate op de gsm soelaas

Een terugkomer waardig?

Zeker en vast de moeite om eens te bezoeken, als je in de buurt bent

Z e hebben hier packages GF+ Verblijf in bungalow + welkom diner van 3 gangen + ontbijt

Sierra was the 10th and last club from the top 10 I visited in Poland. Dare I say it might the best.

I already had this club figured out when I was on the driving range. That range from grass was so good.

The best part of Sierra is the maintenance. It is really very good. A lot of effort and money must be spent here to keep it in this good shape. At 80 EUR in the week this club might not be cheap by Polish standards, but where can you play this kind of course for 80 EUR?

The holes were very good too. Fair and fun. There's some teeth in the last 4 holes, they all have water come into play. Which is remarkable as they are the only 4 with water.

We stayed in the bungalow just next to the club. Just very convenient.

A few days before our visit I was warned that they had a tournament the next day, and that it might be crowded it in the clubhouse. It wasn't, but it was nice they sent this mail and care.

Sierra is an absolute must visit in Poland.

Golfen und relaxen

Wir waren hier am 4. Juni beim schönsten Wetter. Alles war perfekt und beim Loch 10 konnten wir uns bedienen an einem Prosecco stand. Im Anschluss haben wir das Restaurant getestet - ausgezeichnet und freundliche Bedienung. Das übernachten in unserem Camper auf der Golfplatz machte es komplett.
