Always love coming back and playing here. Lovely course, some awesome holes,. That 17th is a perilous hole built on high dunes and a mini valley before the green.

Lots of work is going into the course and the condition is improving. Looking forward to seeing what changes are made in 2023 as they are closing the course for a few months.

If you're in Durbs do yourself a favour and get a round in here, you won't be disappointed!

I started playing golf here and it’s a magical golf course. I might be a little biassed. Truly do believe this is one of the best courses in SA if not Africa, as voted by Top 100 Golf. I think it has struggled in recent years with floods and the greens had some troubles with some sort of growth.

Recommend getting a buggy here because it’s a really undulating course, lots of elevated tees boxes/greens so it’s a walk to get around the 18. The quality of the course is first class and you can tell why as there are greenkeepers on most holes, watering and tending to the course. There’s a fair amount of bush around the course so with that and the undulations you have to pick your spots carefully.

There are a bunch of picturesque par 3’s especially the 15th which is on top of a mound, you don’t want to be missing the green there. The approach to the clubhouse includes 2 par 4s over big undulations with the Moses Mabhida Stadium in the background.

For what you pay this course is ridiculously good value, especially travelling from Europe.

The most traditional golf club in South Africa, where the Prince of Wales and other personalities have visited. A combination of lush coastal vegetation, sand dunes and some views of the Indian Ocean make the game on this traditional 18-hole course a very varied golf experience. One of the characteristics of the Durban Country Club are the massive fairway waves of a typical left course, which require a strategic game especially on the 5th,8th and 17th holes. Besides the course consists of a rather flat parkland area where you can also meet monkey hordes. You can play without a golf cart, but a good caddy is recommended on this ground. The busy main road along the golf area with the traffic noise clouds the experience a bit. The old clubhouse with the bowl facilities underline the English values of this facility.

Prachtige golfbaan. Aanrader.
