Paarl Golf Club is situated in a picturesque valley in the heart of the Winelands on the outskirts of South Africa’s third-oldest town, Paarl. The course, first laid out on the banks of the Berg River in the 1950s, was carefully redesigned and extended in the last ten years by noted golf course designers Danie Obermeyer and David Frost. David Frost, a Paarl native, Tour professional and prominent winemaker in the area, has brought experience gained on both the US and European professional golf tours together with local knowledge to enhance the design of the course.

(10-18) Paarl Nine(1-9) Berg River Nine(19-27) Boschenmeer NinePaarl Golf Club of Boschenmeer Golf Estate is een baan met allure. Niet alleen de entree en het clubhuis, ook het totale golfterrein en omgeving zijn opmerkelijk. Een ruime parkbaan, hier en daar licht geonduleerd, dan weer met groot hoogteverschil. Vanaf het terras naast zicht op de grote vijver ook zicht op het boven op de bergen van Paarl liggende taalmonument. Hoge bomen, bosschages en tuinen verfraaien de beide lussen waarbinnen waterpartijen bijdragen tot een spannende strijd tegen de baan. Goed onderhouden fairways en snelle, vaak verhoogde greens. Een must om te spelen.

(10-18) Paarl Nine(19-27) Boschenmeer NinePlayed again the Boschenmeer course and indeed during the years maintenance is increased and again beautiful the 18 holes. The fairways and greens are well maintained.. The course is close to wine area which is also nice to visit. the course and staff are very nice and talking before you tee-off very handy. A bid disadvantage is the practice driving range. However overall a nice course and a drink afterwards no problem.

(1-9) Berg River Nine(19-27) Boschenmeer NinePaarl Golf Club is een echte ‘ouderwetse’ golfclub met alles erop en eraan, gesticht in 1908 én één van de oudste in Zuid-Afrika. Gespeeld op woensdag 21 januari 2026. Club kent een rijke historie, goed zichtbaar in de hal naar het restaurant en terras. Gelegen in het Boschenmeer Golf Estate, met huizen rondom de meeste holes. Licht glooiende 27-holes parkbaan met veel waterpartijen en bunkers. Drie lussen van 9 holes, met veel afwisseling en variatie. Doglegs linksaf & rechtsaf, brede & smalle fairways, hoogteverschillen, etc. Mooie snelle greens. Goed & prettig speelbare baan. Voor beginnende of hogere handicappers best pittig, maar goed te doen. Baan is ook goed te lopen. Groot, allesomvattend, ietwat gedateerd, maar authentiek, clubhuis met uitstekende faciliteiten en een prima proshop. Op een aantal foto’s is overigens de rook van de grote natuurbranden tussen Franschhoek en Stellenbosch goed te zien.

(1-9) Berg River Nine(19-27) Boschenmeer NineHier voor het eerst gespeeld super mooie baan snelle greens. Goed hotel Boschenm house ( helaas geen alcohol vergunning ) maar er is een super markt in de buurt en voor de lunch is Brookdale zeker een aanrader. Voor het golfen zeker een aanrader. Wij gaan verder met onze golfreis.

These 27-holes made Paarl the first 27-hole golf course in the Western Cape. The old course was remodeled as well and extensive changes were made by the main architect Danie Obermeyer. David Frost, international golfer and old Paarl resident were also involved in the design of the Boschenmeer nine. Interesting fact is that the entire David Frost trophy collection is kept at the Paarl Golfclub and is proudly displayed in the impressive foyer of the clubhouse that was opened in 2004.
