Freshly reopened after major renovations & very enjoyable already. Glenelg is an excellent golf course, and whilst it needs a bit of time to fully grow in, which is only natural, it is already fantastic & lots fun. It reminded us a lot of golf in Portugal. Green complexes are interesting, the routing flows nicely & there is enough strategy to keep you thinking without it feeling like hard work. The par 3s are excellent. Thoughtful, engaging and nicely varied. Club selection really matters and lazy shots are found out, which keeps you switched on rather than just swinging hard and seeing what happens. Very different to Royal Adelaide & Kooyonga, Glenelg makes Adelaide a great destination for a golf tour. And I’ve been told Grange GC is very good also.

Today was the beginning of a simply superb week of golf on "The Red Belt "

Adelaide's version of the famed Victorian Sandbelt.

Glenelg GC. Ranked 39 for the last four years.

The fairways are the best I've played on for some time and the conditioning of the course was of a very high standard despite the weather they've had in the last 12 months the greenkeepers said.

Typically tight (ST always plays off the black or Championship Tee boxes) British Isle inspired tee boxes generally open up to wide fairways. Amazing bunkers are a big feature of not only this course but all the Redbelt, both pot and greenside are aesthetically pleasing on the golfer's eye, but it is where Glenelg falls behind those ranked inside the Top 20 ranked courses at the moment and requires some TLC. I loved the layout and the routing.

Glenelg is a gem. Really impressed by this golf course. I was lucky enough to play it in a golf tournament and I enjoyed every aspect of it. Everyone was very welcome and the clubhouse is nice.
