Designed by golf legend, Bernhard Langer, the golf course is set on its own island, the iconic Ile aux Cerfs, on the East coast of Mauritius. The golf course is only accessible by air or by sea and is a feast to the eyes.
All 18 holes of this unique island golf have views of the ocean – some with glimpses across clearings through the trees; others by coming close to the shore. Expansive white bunkers and water set off the natural backdrop of trees and vegetation perfectly.

Ile Aux Cerfs Golf Course
Playing this golf course is a very special experience. It is so much more than just a round of golf. The golf club is not accessible by car. Only by air (for the happy few who can afford a helicopter) or by sea. So for most of us the experience starts at the jetty where you wait with your golf bag to get picked up by a boat. De toegang tot de golfclub is even lastig te vinden, mijn GPS zat er bijvoorbeeld 2,5 km naast. Rijdend op de kustweg zag ik bij toeval op een muur naast een toegangshek met grote letters Golfclub Ile Aux Cerfs staan. Door het hek de lange oprijlaan van Hotel Sangri La oprijden. Vlak voor het hotel op vork rechts naar de parkeerplaats van de golfclub. Van hier met een boo…
