Simply extraordinary with great views, nice customer service and incredible course-condition! Especially loved the closeness to the sea and the sunset setting so nicely behind the 18th green!

The sunny island of Gotland is Sweden's top holiday destination. The best of the six local courses (literally by a steamer) is Visby GC. It lies 25 minutes drive from the capital of the same name. You can't help but start your visit by climbing the lighthouse, from which you can see the first hole, a short par three. As many as a third of the holes are played along the sea. The bunker-strewn seventeenth and especially the iconic last hole, a par five, will stick in your mind. It follows the waters of the Baltic Sea and its green lies just off a small beach and clubhouse. Visby GC also includes another nine-hole course. Visby has long been in the top 100 courses in continental Europe and vies with Stockholm's Bro Hof for the position of the best course in all of Sweden.

Visby GK är en fantastisk naturupplevelse och väl utmanade bana i vacker gotländsk miljö.

Banan, som nyligen rankades som nummer 1 i Sverige, är i grunden en ganska lättspelad bana, men om du spelar här en blåsig dag gäller det att ha koll på utslagen.

Fairways, tees och greener håller oftast toppklass och i kombination med den vackra havsnära omgivningen är det ett sant nöje att spela här.

Greenfee ligger i det högre prisskiktet, men om du uppskattar fin golf och är på Gotland är ett besök helt klart värt pengarna.

Mycket trevligt klubbhus med vacker havsutsikt. Rangen har nu även toptracer vilket höjer intrycket och puttinggreenen vid klubbhuset ger bra varierad putträning

Banan bör vara på alla golfares bucketlist.

Visby earns its reputation as one of Sweden's best. A course flexible enough to feel serene at dawn and dramatic at dusk, with a Baltic-hugging back nine and a genuinely special closing hole, backed up by conditioning that held up all day. Easy recommendation, and one worth building a Gotland trip around rather than just a stopover round.
