The Strand Course is outstanding. The front nine in particular has to be the best 9 links holes you are likely to find anywhere. Set in amongst huge sand hills, it also offers magnificent views. Of note, the view from the first tee is stunning and the hole itself is a great opener for the course.

This has got to be the most spectacular front 9 you’re ever likely to play weaving through high dunes right next to the coast. The first tee is an awesome sight, an elevated tee box with the beach running down the right hand side and a drop down to the first fairway with dunes in the background. The Strand course was magnificent. The fairways were very dry due to a prolonged dry period. The greens however we’re truly wonderful. They were fast, true but a real challenge. I now understand the meaning of a putting stroke. These greens did not require the normal hit that my home course needs, you needed to stroke the ball. A total joy. One of the loveliest courses I have played in my life. Being greeted by the members and sent out before them to accelerate my game was nice in order to catch my plane. The first nine holes are the best of the best. Combine those with the second nine of Tralee. Perfect.

The golf course is in fantastic condition for this time of year. The greens are true and fast and there are plenty of undulations which are tough to read. The fairways are well cut and the green staff were out filling divots so course maintenance is a priority. The pro shop is well stocked and the staff are very friendly. The Strand golfcourse is the best links golfcourse I have ever played. fantastic setting in the massive dunes. great views. a must play. Even better than the famous Royal Portrush.

Most stunning scenery and extremely challenging course. A must play for your bucket list.

Wat een baan. De vergezichten en omgeving is ongelooflijk mooi. Zeker de eerste 9-holes zijn prachtig met torenhoge duinen, glooiende greens en moeilijke drives. Het is linksbaan dus je moet rekening houden met harde fairways en greens. Maar korte ijzers houden wel. What a course! Unbelievable views, awesome maintenance, great greens, almost every hole is fantastic. Also better than Portrush that is the more famous course. Best course ever played.

Dies unser letzter Platz auf unserer Reise hätten wir das Pech von total dichtem Nebel. Also gönnten wir uns einen einheimischen Caddy - Mark. Les 9 premiers trous représentent le parcours originel, beau links en bord de mer attrayant qui demande de la précision, (une particularité ; c'est aussi l'endroit de promenade favorite des autochtones donc attention a vos mises en jeu pour ne blesser personne). Een van de mooiste banen in Noord Ierland. Strand is fantastisch mooi aangezichten met geweldig uitdagende holes. Riverside is wat makkelijker en wat meer een standaard goed onderhouden baan. De prijs voor Strand is hoog (behalve als je uitgenodigd word (20 pond). Riverside is een standaard Engelse prijs voor een rondje voor 18 holes.
