Porto Carras Golf and Country Club

Course layout was nice and tee time found easily to next day and staff were friedly. Pos/neg:

+ 60€ is a fair price

+ rental TaylorMade clubs are new (but dirty)

+ fairways condition was fairly good

- many greens/ tee boxes condition were bad

- bunkers were full of small stones and grass.

- some water hazard walls and bridge have collapsed.

- range is just dried field with mats.

Overall course was bad shape but still it was ok to play it once during my holiday. Image of Porto Carras resort and golf is exclusively but reality is a bit different :0(.

This is a 'holiday' or 'resort' course and I enjoyed it enormously. Although some greens were a little patchy, I though overall the course was a good standard and a decent layout. The fairways were fine and the surrounding areas absolutely stunning. The staff were excellent and the hire clubs were decent Taylormade brand. I would suggest this course for learners becuase it wasn't busy and players would not feel under pressure with speed of play. It would also please those that simply want to perhaps play once or twice whilst on holiday whilst enjoying the beach and everything else that this impressive resort offers.

Der Platz ist mittlerweile in einem guten Zustand und fußläufig (Distanz Par 5) vom Hotel entfernt. Der Platz ist gut zu laufen und ein Buggy ist nicht notwendig.

Sehr zuvorkommender und persönlicher Service durch den Golfmanager Panagiotis.

Questo percorso a 18 buche ha un grande potenziale ma green e bunker sono in condizioni inaccettabili. Il disegno è carino con fairway larghi che permettono di sparare il driver al 100%. La club House sarebbe bella ma è desolata. Nonostante abbiamo prenotato, non c'era nessuno a riceverci al nostro arrivo. Solo dopo una decina di minuti è arrivata una persona che ci ha dato le info basilari e ci ha fatto partire. Alla fine abbiamo pagato solo 3 green fee al posto di 5 perchè ci siamo lamentati delle condizioni del campo. Ripeto, il potenziale è alto ma devono assolutamente migliorare la manutenzione di green e bunker.

It was very warm, I was the only player on the whole course! Had a buggy and enough water. The fairways were rather good but the green were in bad condition. In previous years I have seen this course in better condition. Personnel however very friendly, the rental set of clubs were brandnew Taylormade clubs, I loved the driver!
