Ras Al Hamra Golf Club

Ein schöner 9-Loch Platz in beeindruckender Umgebung. Der Platz wurde wohl für die britischen Angestellten der Ölfirmen erbaut und entspricht allen Wünschen, die man zwischen den Bergen des Oman in Muscat haben kann. Toll gepflegte Fairways, Teeboxen und Grüns. Herrlich britischer Flair im gemütlichen Clubhaus.

Prima baan met zeer mooie holes. Fairways met daartussen terrein met bossages en rotspartijen. Voorzieningen en driving range zijn goed.

Set clubs gehuurd. Taylor Made en nieuw. Bar cq restaurant redelijk.

Très sympa super Greens et fairways avec la vrai possibilité de faire 18 trou le soir de nuit c’est très agréable par contre ne pas oublier de se faire bien expliquer le parcours car il y a 2 couleurs de drapeau pour l’aller et le retour. Très bon rapport qualité prix gratuit pour les juniors. attention prévoir pas de bouteilles d’eau à la vente car golf plastic Free.

The Ras Al Hamra golf club has made a big change since 2012. Before that I played the 9 hole course in 2002 as it was part of the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) for employees and visitors of the company. The 9-hole 100% sandy course and browns for putting, as it was at the time, is now completely different. There was not space enough to built a full 18 holes course but that is also not necessary. The course is mostly used by members/players like to play 9 holes. Because it is also now a floodlit, meaning it is playable from 7.00 am up to 11pm. great for getting a round of golf after working hours and also in the hot summer month playing 9 holes in the evening when it is much cooler. There is a 18 holes possibility and double green for the 1st and 10th hole.

Practice facilities are available and so are the possibility for renting clubs and using trolleys.

The club will host the 2020 - 47th Muscat Open and there is a nice beach-club for members and guests to enjoy the water-sport activities on the gulf of Oman crystal clear water, food and beverages.

Overall a large improvement compared to my 1 st round on Al Hamra golf course in 2002.
