Ghala Golf Club

Un giardino nel deserto , gentili e disponibili , ho noleggiato un set di bastoni molto buoni , e il campo è tenuto benissimo.

Ghala GC lies mostly on the plain. Interesting holes include par 3 #2 and then #4 and #5 played from an elevated tee. The latter is played up a slight hill, which is the only elevation gain on the course. Part of the first nine is wedged into a valley, which translates to the narrow and uncluttered holes #8 and #9. The second nine is a bit stereotypical. From the tee box between the fairways, there is sand and lots of bushes, sometimes visually deceiving. It is often difficult to navigate and hit the next hole. The quality of the fairways and greens is very good.

First nine holes we had company of the maintenance team! Quite irritating. Some funny points where you need to tee off over trees and electric lines. Badly sign posted.

Not my favourite golf course in Muscat. Maintenance is superbe.

Mooie compacte 18 holes baan, gemakkelijk te bereiken vanuit het centrum van Muscat. Ideaal voor een rondje golf tussen de afspraken door. Oefenfaciliteiten zijn ok, mits de baan niet te druk is. Receptie, ontvangst top! De baan is goed te spelen voor alle handicaps, sommige holes zijn smal en de greens zijn hard en supersnel. Onderhoud van de baan is goed, soms rijden er wel erg veel greenkeepers door de baan tijdens een ronde. Baan is uitdagend en nodigt uit tot het nemen van risico. Longhitters moeten heel precies zijn, en als dat lukt word je beloond. Clubhuis is ok, mooi uitzicht op de baan en sanitair is uitstekend!
