Driving range with mats. They seemed to have had better times, and I couldn't get my rubber tee in the mat.

The golfcourse does not have a lot of water, but it's misleading, there are a few little streams that run accross several fairways. The nicest stretch of the course are the holes 9,10 and 11 in the woods.

The maintenance is not that great, but still doable, but I found the greens rather slow.

We had one drink in the clubhouse, there was a door open, and unpleasantly lot of wind.

Tip

neem zelf een gps mee, kan zeer handig zijn

Vandaag voor de eerste maal opgemerkt dat er een verschil is tussen beiden

Bij start geven beiden de volledige hole maar watertjes tussen fairway’s staat bij het recentse model er niet op (beide hadden de laatste updates)

Weinig bewolking, zonnig en weinig wind (28 graden)

Met kleuren, aantal 3

Wit 6225 m zijn aanwezig maar hebben geen tees

Geel 5805 m (is ook de dames tee, blauw bestaat niet)

Rood 4735m

Zoals de foto’s laten merken is er wat andere begroeiing aanwezig op de tee zelf

Wat rondom is laat ook niets aan het toeval over

Terrein:

Zeer uitdagende en open baan en vooral brede fairways

Geen strakke scheidingslijn tussen de niet egale fairway en de lage rough

Bunkers (afwerking kan heel wat beter) zijn speelbaar en liggen praktisch steeds rond de green

Green:

Groot, afgereden, maar niet snel en de scheidingslijn met apron is niet overal duidelijk

Buggy:

Aanwezig zonder GPS

Restaurant:

Enkel drankje genuttigd

Een terugkomer waardig?

Zal over gepraat moeten worden, zeker en vast de moeite om eens te bezoeken, als je in de buurt bent

Het moet niet altijd een top baan zijn

Deze heeft een mooie structuur maar onderhoud laat steken vallen.

Linksové hřiště, zajímavé jamky, pěkná mensí klubovna. Restaurace s velkou terasou. Tréninkové plochy dostatečné. Minimum hráčů během dopoledne. Klidné místo v krásné přírodě.

For this year vacation we choose golf trip around Baltic states. We had great experience 2 years ago with our visit at National Klaipeda, therefore we decide to play other courses in Lithuania.

First stop on our way was Wolf golf course. I book my teetime through email with course and agreed with them that we can stay with our RV overnight on their parking lot.

Course is located close to Polish borders and gives to polish golfers good access to golf.

Area is very calm and quiet, nice nature around and many activities to do in nearby town of Druskininkai.

Navigation to course is very simple using google maps. Course is links style golf with few holes in the trees. Links course is not common in this area, but it fits well.

Wolf golf offers good training facilities for your pre game routine.

I check in with very pleasant receptionist, who were really supportive and showed me around.

So lets play the course. From first hole you see decent links setting. Tall grass in rough and deep bungers. Greens has runaway area so you can put it to, but you also have to be careful with topped wedge.

The routing is changed in many applications, so it might confuse you a bit, so be careful when starting. My personal preferences would be to have old routing, however its just about preferences.

I will not describe hole by hole I will just point out few holes which made best impression on me. Starts with hole 5,8,9 and 18.

Should mention that fairways are wide enough and quite soft, but bit dry because weather is so hot already at end of May. Tee boxes are not always leveled, but no problem to find spot to start the hole. I liked the greens, they roll fair, could be bit faster for me, but no bad spots after winter at all.

I would say that level of maintenance is quite good for price charged.

After the game you can have cold Corona on patio overlooking the course and good lunch what will not destroy your vacation budget.

Overall I suggest to visit course and enjoy the game.

Greens are in truely outstanding conditions, top-notch Scotch quality, balls rolling super nicely but not rocket fast. Fairways v firm, rough well cut, bunkers well maintained. Course looks like link, plays like links and you enjoy it like links course especially when it’s windy. I love coming back here again and again to enjoy this track more and more.
