GC Am Mondsee

Great golf club with very hospitable restaurant and staff. Only staff at front desk could have been a little politer. Course itself is fairly easy, which we liked for a round of holiday golf. Greens were super fast and we had to get used to the speed. However, that is proof of great maintenance. Surrounding nature is outstanding and alone worth the the round. We will be back, whenever back in the area!

GC Mondsee's cosy clubhouse has a terrace with lake views. The par 4 first hole is played into a funnel between mature chestnut, conifer and pine trees. Flat course with high quality. Played in the shadow of the mountain in complete silence. The course is also very forgiving. On the opposite side from the clubhouse on the lakeshore, both the 9th and 15th holes are close to each other by tee. The par 5 ninth wraps around along the lake to the green on the right side near the lakeshore. Gradually approach the tee of the 15th hole, a par 3, again on the opposite side. It's one of the top holes and the beginning of a beautiful finish to the course. 15 is played over water. The next 16 is a short par 4, but the green is pulled up to the water again. 17 par 3 is again top. The final par five is again around the water to the green by the lake. The course belongs to the Leading Courses grouping, a mark of quality in Austria. Confirmed.

Schöner Parkkurs mit altem Baumbestand und vielen und attraktiven Wasserhindernissen.

Auf den ersten neun Bahnen etwas langweilig, in der zweiten Hälfte aber deutlich herausfordernder und mit schmaleren Fairways.

Tolle, sehr schnelle Greens.

Zu wenige eindeutige Hinweise zu den nächsten Abschlägen und eine winzige, schwer lesbare Skizze auf der Scorecard machen die Orientierung für ortsunkundige leider etwas schwierig.

Das Restaurant bietet nicht nur einen atemberaubenden Blick in die umliegende Bergkulisse, sondern auch eine tolle Auswahl und sehr gute Küche samt guter Weinkarte.

Toll ist der Seezugang zum Schwimmen von den Garderoben/Duschen aus.

Leider trübt der hohe Preis das Vergnügen.

Die Umgebung in Mondsee ist wunderschön. Der Platz etwas langweilig und flach. Aber in gutem Zustand für November.

Na een heel hartelijk ontvangst in de pro shop en een schappelijk sunset tarief deze prachtige baan mogen spelen onder geweldige condities. Een uitdagende maar tevens eerlijke baan met een aantal holes waar het water in het spel komt. Naast het golf kan je genieten van prachtige vergezichten uitkijkend over de Mondsee. Ik kan echt iedereen aanraden deze geweldige baan een keer te gaan spelen en graag kom ik hier nog eens terug!
