Club de Golf del Uruguay is located in the south-central area of the city of Montevideo, across the sea side walk that borders the coastline of the Río de la Plata, in the residential area of Punta Carretas, only 5 minutes away from the commercial and financial center of the capital. Course stats: Out 3.445 yards – In 3.190 yards Total: 6.635 yards Par: 73 Record of the Course: 63 strokes (Ron Wuencsche, 18th November, 1995). The location of the course, bordering the coastline of the city, and the design carried out by Dr. Alister Mackenzie, provide a framework of both hierarchy and distinction that can be found in very few cities. The greens are broad and bunkers very well protect most of them; the tree-lined fairways are quite narrow in some cases, whilst several holes have out of bounds.
