Celebration Golf Club

Mooie baan in Celebration vandaar de naam , leuke aankomst met nostalgische auto’s en jaren 50 gebouwen. Goede shop , vriendelijk personeel en behulpzame starter. Onderhoud goed, Greens snel en lastig. Bunkers goed. Baan lay-out mooi, eerste 9 dicht bij bebouwing, tweede 9 iets meer vrij. Gevarieerde holes , veel water en bunkers. Ook veel alligators!

On arrival, the clubhouse and facilities are very striking and classy - the clubhouse looks exactly how i would imagine a Charleston/ South Carolina/ early American colonial home to look, with the white pillars, coloured wood walls, a big clock over the veranda and a wooden water vane tower. It felt very inviting and exclusive!

The driving range is particularly spectacular, with players hitting to island greens in a lake - with the sun rising over the range for my early tee time, this was particularly impressive.

Throughout the course there are plenty of picturesque, Floridian holes, which weave between lakes and trees, to expertly manicured, receptive greens.

I particularly enjoyed the Par 4 17th, which required precision off the tee over a lake and bunker, which lands short of the guarded green, with water short and right and danger long.

It offered a challenging finish to a friendly and enjoyable course, that didn't have too many misplaced hazards to cause any stress. Poor tee shots were punished by water, trees and plenty of bunkers, but if you turn up on the day, this is a very scorable and fun course indeed!

Just great to get away and play golf ⛳️ in the sun.

Mooie baan. Gehuurde golfset van prima kwaliteit (Ping G410).

Prijs kwaliteit verhouding minder. Duur indien je greenfee, clubs, ballen dient te huren/ kopen.

In mijn greenfee zat lunchbon inbegrepen: dit is echter een broodje kip of kaas/ham plus klein zakje chips. Drank apart afrekenen.

Na eerder op deze baan gespeeld te hebben en toen erg enthousiast was over het onderhoud was ik nu minder te spreken over de kwaliteit/conditie van de baan en met name het onderhoud naast de baan zelf (zoals de paden die ik vorige keer roemde over hoe netjes die waren en nu erg veel vuil en gras op groeide en niet schoongemaakt waren... Lay-out van de baan nog wel erg leuk en beslist niet gemakkelijk. en natuurlijk weer diverse beesten gezien tijdens de ronde... ik ga vast nog wel keertje...
