About Emirates Golf Club Dubai
The Emirates Golf Club, host of the Dubai Desert Classic, was the first all-grass championship golf course in the Middle East when it opened in 1988. Faldo Championship CourseNot one of my favorite courses in Dubai but still a good layout and a very good test of golf. Quite a challenge from the Blue tees for a good amateur especially if it is very windy so choose your tees visely. We played the course 1 day after the heavy rain so most of the bunkers were not yet however they sure know how to charge the full rate. In general I have a feeling that visiting players are not really welcome in Dubai as the regular green fee prices have skyrocketed in the stratosphere even though most courses are on the level of standard maintenance compared to the other great courses in Europe or UK. If you ask me, this golf course (and many others in the region) are not worth more than 150 €.

Faldo Championship CourseFantastic day , got paired up with some members and really enjoyed the golf and the banter. Couple of pints in spike bar after was a treat as well.

Faldo Championship CourseLe Faldo parcours de 18 trous à l'entretien exceptionnel. Un tracé avec pas mal d'eau en jeu, de nombreux et immenses bunkers. De superbes installations et quelles vues sur le parcours surtout de nuit !
Faldo Championship CourseJugué el campo Faldo la cual está en muy buenas condiciones. Jugué en la noche y la iluminación no es lo que esperaba. Igual hay que ayudar a ver hacia dónde van las bolas. Los greenes no estaban muy rápidos, no obsrante nos dijeron que estaban alrededor de 10.5. La atención de todo el personal es muy buena.

Faldo Championship CourseAprès avoir joué The Majlis le matin en shotgun, j'ai pu jouer The Faldo, l'aller... de nuit ! Première expérience pour moi, et vraiment unique. Si les installations gigantesques sont communes, le parcours est totalement indépendant, association de deux 9 trous. L'aller consiste à tourner autour de plusieurs pièces d'eau, et quasiment seul le trou n°8 est au sec. La visibilité réduite mais surtout la perte de repairs sur les profondeurs étant déjà handicapante, la difficulté naturelle du parcours rend la tâche ardue. Par contre les traces de balles en vidéo ou l'alignement en fonction des tours lumineuses et très séduisants. La qualité du parcours est identique au Majlis. En tout cas bien que difficile, l'expérience est extraordinaire. A faire au moins une fois, et quoi de mieux que Dubaï ?

Majlis Championship Course
18 holesThe flagship course at Emirates Golf Club, The Majlis championship course is a challenging par 72, 7,301-yard layout. Designed by Florida-based course architect Karl Litten, the original 18 holes were built in and around the dunes of a beautiful site on the edge of the city of Dubai, donated by His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, on whose instructions the desert flora was maintained in its natural state.
Par 3 course
9 holesOne of Dubai's most attractively maintained courses, Emirates Golf Club's Par 3 course offers plenty of challenges for all, whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player. Measuring 1,239 yards from the blue tees, the course is ideal for practicing your iron play, as well as for family or introductory golf. The longest hole on the course is the 194-yard third hole, while the fourth hole is the shortest at 96 yards. The course will encourage beginners and entice players looking to hone their short game skills. Set against the backdrop of the attractive Dubai Marina skyline, the course is designed around nine short yardage holes, each guaranteeing that no two shots will be the same. The venue of the Omega Dubai Ladies' Masters and the Omega Dubai Desert Classic Challenge Matches, the course has some of the toughest Par 3 holes in the emirate.
Faldo Championship Course
18 holesEmirates Golf Club's second championship golf course, which opened in 1996, was named 'The Wadi', taken from the Arabic word for 'valley'. Redesigned in 2005 by golf legend and six-time major winner Nick Faldo, the course now combines a stunning visual design with the nuances and challenges of any championship course in just the right measure, providing visitors an exceptionally enjoyable golfing experience.
