A lovely course with wonderful scenery - not the longest, but a good test for any standard of player - very welcoming staff - small but very nice club house. Green fees reasonable and the course is usually in great condition.

Courses at Ashley Wood Golf Club
Ashley Wood Golf Club
The Ashley Wood course initially consisted of nine holes complete with grass bunkers. The course was laid out over historic countryside, including Buzbury Rings, an ancient ring fort, tumuli and defensive dykes all of which dated back to pre-Roman times. These ancient remains were incorporated into the layout in various ways and without doubt added to the difficulty of the course. Now Ashley Wood is a par 70 18-hole course from the yellow tees built on natural well drained chalk downland with spectacular views over the surrounding Dorset countryside.
