About Buckinghamshire Golf Club
The course was designed by the legendary John Jacobs O.B.E., former European Tour Player, Ryder Cup Captain and in his final years, a renowned course designer. His skillful use of the natural features and local topography, allied to the devoted skills of our greenkeeping staff who present the course to the highest standards year round have meant that our course has quickly become recognised as one of the finest inland courses in the British Isles. Buckinghamshire Golf Club has played host to the highlight of The European PGA Seniors Tour, The Senior Tournament of Champions from 1996 – 2000 and the Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf European Final in 1997. Closely associated with the Club is former European Tour and Ryder Cup Player John O’Leary. The Rivers Misbourne and Colne ensure that water comes into play on seven of the first 12 holes. It is a tough test from the back tees but an enjoyable one. One of the strengths of the course is that the greens are 40 to 45 yards long, by simply altering the pin the character of the hole is completely different. With the words of John Jacobs himself: “You want a golf course to be a stern test but at the end of the day it must be one that even a bad golfer can enjoy.”

Buckinghamshire Golf ClubWhat a lovely surprise this was…
The golf course has everything for a great round of golf. It is quite forgiving off the tee, it offers either short and safe option or go big and be close as there are plenty well positioned bunkers and it has a few very good risk and reward holes.
Holes 5 to 8 are a great stretch of golf! 5th hole is lovely reachable Par-5 followed by three excellent risk and reward Par-4’s. 12th,13th and 15th are also among my favourites and are all great Par-4 holes. All Par-3’s are quite short.
The greens are undulated but not overdone.
The course was in very good condition with nice and smooth greens.
Very nice clubhouse which is being currently renovated and it will soon offer top notch locker rooms and even a few rooms for the guests.
Pro shop is well stocked and the food in the restaurant was very tasty.

Buckinghamshire Golf ClubThis course has been owned by a Japanese firm. It is obvious that there are many Japanese members. The course has been sold to another company and now belongs to this person who owns many hotels in the neighborhood of London Heathrow Airport. Beyond your thought, it is located so no far from LHR. And you encounter many many Japanese amateur golfers, who are extremely polite. The course is not a difficult one. If you have a day to do nothing at the LHR, you should try this.

Buckinghamshire Golf ClubThis is a fantastic course. Brilliant lay out and always in perfect condition. They have very knowledgeable greenkeepers, which reflects on the course. Even the drive towards the clubhouse is impressive. The only down side is, the range is very small and it's not for the faint hearted as you have to cross the worlds wobbliest bridge! The putting green and chipping area is nice. The food is also good.
