We went again to play Lo Romero. It is always a pleasure to play a round of golf there. Nice court, beautiful envirement with a lot of birds and squarrels running around. Hole 19 on the terrace with a view on the court not to be missed. We certainly will come back.

Lo Romero Golf

18 holes

Lo Romero Golf is a course like no other. It is a course where you can enjoy the experience of being a golfer. Lo Romero Golf is referred to as the “The golf island” a name that it has been referred to since it´s inaugration in the Levante area located in the Spanish Province of Alicante. ¨The Golf Island¨ is actually situated on the 18th green, which is fairly level circular green surrounded by water. From the first tee shot to the last putt on the 18th green, the golfer will enjoy a round of golf at Lo Romero due to its tranquillity while being surrounded by the beauty of the Spanish Mediterranean nature. On some holes you can even admire the panoramic views across the sea. Lo Romero is built on an old apple and pear orchard. The course is well maintained and offers a great design!

Top-10: Best golf courses in Spain (that people play often)

Spain has been a favourite golf destination in Europe for decades and golfers will continue to play golf in Spain. Whether you play golf in the Costa del Sol or play golf in the Costa Blanca, you will not be disappointed. This is the top-10 of Best Golf Courses in Spain. There are 398 golf clubs in Spain, so there is much to choose from. In many lists of “best golf courses in Spain,” you’ll find clubs like Real Club Valderrama, Finca Cortesín Golf Club, La Reserva – Sotogrande, and many more high-end clubs. But how many people can actually play these courses? With green fees well above € 100, these golf courses are not for everyone. We found out that there is a correlation between the number of reviews and the price of a green fee. So we decided to look at golf courses that have more than 200 reviews on Leadingcourses.com. We believe it’s safe to say that with that kind of numbers, those courses should be accessible to the majority of golfers that travel. This ranking is based on golf courses in Spain that have more than 200 reviews on Leadingcourses.com. It was last updated on July 4th, 2019.
