Valle Romano Golf & Resort

Played here with me (22.8) and my girlfriend who is a little bit higher handicap. Rang the receptionist, she told me we could play here but from a certain time, which was fine for us and understandable considering the morning are the busiest. Reception from the doorman was very nice, very welcoming. Then you pay at the proshop which has got a quite big inventory for men’s clothing for such a size shop. The receptionist was very kind. The people at the restaurant were kind. Then the course itself: great course even for people who are not that good at golf yet. Quite forgiving. With beautiful scenery.

De ontvangst was erg hartelijk. Het was rustig en we konden eerder afslaan. Bij de buggy zaten 2 flesjes water, een scorecard en potlood. De greens waren niet zo goed omdat de grond erdoor kwam en een mix van gras en grond. De holes waren wel afwisselend met veel hoogteverschillen.

Zonder woorden... in het verleden nog gespeeld en baan was toen top... foto's spreken voor zich...

I was excited to go to Valle Romano. The lady in the pros-hop did say do you know about the greens. I said 'no' we were told the greens were going under treatment. It was very clear the greens had been burnt off some time ago and there was very little sign of treatment. The back 9 was worth playing even though the greens are terrible.

The price you have to pay to play here is outrageous for the status of the golfcourse. Not only the greens are in terrible condition but also the fairways and even bunkers are in very poor condition I would not recommend to play here at this moment, although the layout of the course is pretty good. Clubhouse and caddymaster, buggies are very good with course navigation on board Restaurant and clubhouse also very nice.
