The new course is in terrible shape and we recommend that you don’t play it. Every course in this part of Spain is better.

Très beau 18 trous. L'atmosphère du San Roque golf club est élégante et séduisante pour les joueurs qui apprécient les clubs ayant une longue histoire. L'étroitesse des fairways ainsi que les dévers rendent le parcours difficile. Played the new course, lay out is a challenging course. What makes this a real disappointment are the conditions of the course and it surroundings. Fairways and greens are in poor conditions. Signings are broken just like the stairs that are full of natural garbage. Even the bunkers are of poor quality. San Roque has a name to keep up but is lacking in doing so. We felt l… More

New Course: das Layout ist interessanter als der Old Coourse, leider ist die Pflege etwas lieblos, ansonsten hat mir der Platz besser gefallen.

A seriously impressing clubhouse especially when you arrive in the early morning with the lights still on. The typical Spanish hacienda style big clubhouse oozes class. Eine nette Anlage, jedoch überbewertet, die Fairways sind knochentrocken, steinhart und die meisten hängen nach einer Seite, da es kein Rough gibt laufen auch gute drive ins out. Trotz Frühling verlieren die Bäume ihre Blätter, (Laub wie im Herbst) sodass die Bälle sehr schwer zu finden sind. Kommt mit den topplätzen in der Region nicht wirklich mit. San Roque is een heerlijke golf club. Eigenlijk alleen het restaurant is wat gewoontjes. Verder is alles bovengemiddeld goed. Een goede website om te boeken, vriendelijke receptie, heerlijke golfshop met toffe gooiden. Alles gaat heel gemoedelijk. We speelden de drukken new course. New course, heel erg mooi aangelegd met vloeiende overgangen naar de volgende hole. Erg prettig gegolfd mooie uitzichten. Baan in prima conditie. Mooie fairways, welke goed te lezen zijn vanaf de Treebox, veelal een hoge en lage kant. Dus speel de bal naar de hoge kant en dan blijf je meestal wel op de fairway. The Best golf course maintenance in Costa del Sol, for me. The fairways smooth and quite perfect. The Old Course design is fabulous. It's looks much better than in the pictures, which you rarely happens. The time I spent there simply made me feel special, to feel privileged to be playing on such golf course.

If you happen to be in the area San Roque is a must. The golf course is simply stunning and maintenance is as good as it gets. Club house is spectacular, the shop has a lot of logo stuff and restaurant is algo good. Definitely worth a visit.

Great experience playing the traditional old course. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in perfect condition. Still fair to play, challenging but not too difficult. Lovely atmosphere with many youth players and families. Beautiful terrace and very friendly service. Food could be improved. Les investissements portent leurs fruits : clubhouse digne du nom, installations au top. Seul bémol : les greens sur le new courses sont fort abîmés.

The Old Course is a fun but tricky course. It is quite forgiving off the tee but the approach shots can be very challenging with the wind factor in mind and all the elevation changes. The New Course is one of the best layouts I have played in Spain. Another Dye family masterpiece (with some help from the legend himself Severiano Ballasteros) which is unique, fun and challenging.
