Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club

It was my first time playing there, and I usually ask at the reception about the course's characteristics; the staff member replied with a smile, "It's difficult and narrow—sticking to irons is the best advice." Hmm, I thought, do I have enough balls?!!! Luckily, the course decided to keep "only" three of them, hahaha. Overall, it was a great experience, and I recommend it.

Nice course that has a similar vibe as some of the other Seve Ballesteros courses. Lots of elevation, some blind shots, tricky holes and undulation in fairways and greens. However, it's a fun course with a few exciting holes, and not too crazy with the elvstion (like Alhaurin, which sometimes borders being dangerous in terms of blind shots). Maintenance overall is good, apart from a few thin spots. Bunkers aren't amazing and sometimes have too much sand in it, but not at all a dealbreaker. Played here for 45 EUR using GolfAmore, added an electric trolley for about 15.

Je speelt hier op " tapijten " wat een prachtige onderhouden baan. Uiteraard ook hier heel wat niveau verschillen. We speelden hier met de golfamore kaart aan halve prijs wat aangenaam meegenomen was. Voorzie voldoende balletjes maar dit is voor de meeste golfbanen in deze regio wel nuttig. Ook hier ook aparte SI indexen voor dames en heren . Nuttig is dat de toiletten staan aangegeven op de scorekaart. Nadien kan je op het gezellige terras een heerlijke snack verkrijgen. Let wel tijdelijk geen driving range beschikbaar.

Like all the clubs in the area, it was difficult to get a tee time unless you booked three months in advance. It’s impossible to play on foot or in pairs. A marshal on the course would be necessary to prevent players from being very slow and noisy. The course was in very good condition. The greens, less so. The course is quite technical and varied. But for the value for money, it was worth discovering.
