The Old Course - Dom Pedro Golf: Reviews

I played there many years ago, nothing has changed. I enjoyed the course, but pathways are very bad conditions between holes and the greens were inconsistent through the 18 holes.

Ontvangst en personeel zeer behulpzaam en relaxed. De baan is uitdagend, greens zijn zeer goed onderhouden. Prachtige en wisselende holes. Rijden met Buggy is zoals eerder genoemd een uitdaging, wees alert.

Onze laatste ronde van deze vakantie. De grande dame van Vilamoura. De lay-out is mooi, veel afwisseling, maar toch behoorlijk moeilijk, door nauwe fairways en veel pijnbomen. Kwalitatief valt er op de tees, fairways en greens weinig aan te merken. Vooral de greens zijn erg goed. De rest is typisch voor veel Dom Pedro banen, alles is in verval. Prachtige baan, waarbij wij de Par3 holes het meest uitdagend vonden. Een buggy is aan te bevelen, maar wel aardig prijzig. Verder zijn de paden van hole naar hole erg slecht onderhouden.

Circolo storico, campo corto ma molto curato, piacevole e complicato per ostacoli e strettezza di alcuni passaggi, panorami impressionanti.

Th Old Course is een baan met uitstraling. Als je onder de poort door bent, stap je ook werkelijk in een oudere wereld van golf. Het is geen typische resort baan met grote bunkers en brede fairways. Nee, hier overheerst het tactische spel en vooral de slogan :” Hit it straight! ” De omgeving van de vaak smalle fairways bestaat uit fraaie pijnbomen. Soms staan ze dus ook … More

A stunning golf course with a wide variety of interesting holes. Great hospitality by the way with beverages you can get while playing as a big plus. Greens were great and overall the course is well-managed. Thanks for the great experience, Dom Pedro Golf!

Een van de oudste, zo niet de oudste golfbaan in de Algarve is er zeker een die op je lijstje moet staan. Compacte baan, holes liggen dicht op elkaar maar door de prachtige pijnbomen op de baan heb je hier geen last van. Baan is niet lang en niet heel heuvelachtig dus prima te lopen. Percorso letteralmente diviso in due... le prime nove sono parkland con acqua le seconde nove sono disegnate sulle montagne russe... sali e scendi con tee shot ciechi (anche i par 3)...

Heerlijke baan met historie. Redelijk veel hoogteverschillen wat het toch moeilijker maakt dan je zou denken. Ook de bomen staan regelmatig in de weg. We hebben genoten.

parcours premium des golfs dom pedro, avec un prix un peu plus élevé, mais très belle expérience car tout est très bien : tracé, entretien, difficulté, plaisir des yeux.

I played here in the 2022 at the beginning of December two times including a round at XXXIV Vilamoura Grand Trophy. Actually it was my first time here and my impression was that to play a good round here is not a big deal. Really course is not so easy as it looks at the first few holes. Nice course, not difficult but some very nice holes, very busy in the weekend.

Si vede che il campo ha una sua storia, il layout è divertente e le buche sono immerse nella pineta marittima dell’Algarve. La manutenzione è quasi perfetta. Assolutamente consigliato!

Der Golfplatz war grundsätzlich in einem sehr guten Zustand. Insbesondere die Grüns waren top. Lediglich die Teeboxen waren zum Teil nicht gut gepflegt und die Wege waren einfach unterirdisch. Hier muss unbedingt etwas passieren. Was uns ebenfalls sehr gestört hat war, dass sich niemand darum kümmerte wie auf dem Golfplatz gespielt wird. Vor uns spielte ein US 6er! Fligh… More

Un diseño clásico, el campo discurre entre pinos, no es excesivamente largo y los greenes están muy bien. Las clles presentan una hierba un poco rala, donde la bola a veces no queda limpia. Pero es un pequeño defecto en un campo excelente.

Wij hebben in één week op vier verschillende banen gespeeld, de twee banen op Vale Do Lobo, de Monte Rei en The Old Course Dom Pedro. Van The Old Course hadden wij een zeer hoge verwachting daar de fee price niet heel veel onder die van de Monte Rei ligt. La valeur sure. L’un des rares parcours où l’on peut espérer jouer la même balle pendant 18 trous. Reposant donc et à ce titre intéressant lors d’une semaine complète.

Very nice golf course in beautiful surroundings. The course is very playable and not too difficult, especially with the soft greens we had. The price is too steep in my opinion when playing a single round with rental set and trolley. Fun morning anyway and would love to play it again.
