Golf Park Mikołów

The Mikołów commune acquired a 56-hectare area from the State Treasury free of charge, on condition that a public purpose called "Silesian Botanical Garden habitat collections" was to be fulfilled there. Fulfilling this obligation was not possible due to the lack of communal funds for maintaining another, huge area. As a result of the analyses, a decision was made to attract investors who would be able to cover the costs of maintaining this municipal area, offering in return the possibility of launching – in the spaces between the plant collections – activities supporting the primary goal. In 2008, the Municipality of Mikołów was approached by representatives of the GOLF PARK MIKOŁÓW Association, who declared that, in exchange for free use of the land, they would create a public golf course.
