Leonard review

Bergamo is a traditional club in the north of Italy. The clubhouse is nicely located on top of a hill overlooking several greens. The 1st hole is not representative for the rest fo this interesting course. We played blue and yellow and there are some great holes on this course. Most holes have a pretty steep slope so watch where you place your drives. Also the greens are well guarded and the greens can be tricky. Some greens and fairways had a bit to much water in my opinion but we have seen this more in Italy. We played the course on a very hot day and to walk this course on a day like that took plenty of energy, luckely there were plenty of waterpoints where you could refill your bottle. If steep hills and heat is not your thing get a buggy otherwise it's quite strenuous. The clubhouse terrace is great for a late lunch, cold drink or both. The staff was very nice and I can really recommend playing this course. Would love to come back and play the 9 holes we didn't play.
