Ceann Sibeal (Dingle Golf Links)

Really nice course on an even better location. Just a bit after Dingle city (great town to stay after your round for a pint off Guiniss) you will find your classic links course. We arrived after a long period without rain, which made the course conditions a bit tricky for the greenkeepers. To our surprise this resulted in hitting of mats in the fairways and a closed 5th hole. Unfortunately we still had to pay the summer fee, which was not in line with the rest of the welcoming vibe. Talking about the greenfee; this is a bit overpriced to be completely fair. But the entire experience, including the night in Dingle, made it a great stop and would recommend going there 👍

Great stop when touring dingle peninsula to Dunmore Head. Very friendly reception and: Great rentals, fresh QI10 set (from S to Driver, all woods and hybrids).

Classic links golf: Course and club are what you expect. No disneyland. Greens are fast and firm, but ball not rolling in the wind. Fairways got good bounce and role, although it was pretty wet the days before. Fair course, forgiving if you stay close to fairways and greens.

Warm-up area is small, with cage to hit into... but anyway you would want to go out immediately.

Tout ce qu'il faut pour passer un bon moment

Moitié prix avec carte golfamore ce qui est un vrai plus... mais pour combien de temps quand on voit le prix des links environnants.

A ne pas rater dans la région et la presqu'ile de Dingle est un vrai bonheur.

Nous avons joué les 9 premiers trous dans le vent et les 9 derniers avec la pluie et le vent.

Un cours d eau traverse tout le parcours, parfois devant le départ, au milieu du fairway, ou devant le green. La qualité des fairways est remarquable. C'est un vrai links, roulant quand on a le vent avec. Ce n'est pas la peine de prendre un club de plus pour l attaque des greens, car la balle si elle est trop longue part au fond du green, dans les buissons.

C'est un vrai plaisir même si dans ces conditions météo, on oublie son handicap.

De weg naar de baan geeft je het gevoel naar het eind van de wereld te rijden. Na de stad Dingle is het nog een km of 15 voordat je op de baan bent. De meest westelijk gelegen baan van Europa. De ontvangst is vriendelijk en omdat we lid zijn van Golfhäftet mogen we met korting de baan in. De proshop is klein en rommelig maar met alleraardigst personeel. De baan : als je de baan van boven af bekijkt lijkt het op een groot grasveld met hier en daar wat golvend terrein. Eenmaal op de eerste tee is het duidelijk wat er van je verwacht wordt en zie je de fairways en de vlag van de eerste hole. De fairways zijn super om te spelen, extra kort gras, zachte bodem dat maakt dat je de ballen lekker kunt raken. De greens zijn niet bijzonder snel en het kwijt raken van de ballen valt ook mee. Het helmgras is nog niet volgroeid. Na afloop wat drinken en eten, is allemaal prima voor elkaar. Prima dag gehad!
