As Leadingcourses ambassador I had to visit this course. I came in great time, when course was still in decent shape, and fall made it more colorful. I had pleasant discussion with owners after quick check in and they accept my Revolut payment since they accept only cash or transfers. Arriving to resort and it is resort since the accommodation is offered, you will realize that this is not poshy place but rather traditional one. From Reception there is quite some walk to first tee as well as to driving range. The whole course is located in beautiful nature with old grown trees. To describe each hole would be very difficult cause they are different, offering variety of shots. Uphill, downhill, you will be playing from sloped fairways but you will have fun. Where you will see difference is between front nine and back nine. Majority of back nine is flat where front nine is full of interesting shots. I have to mention hole 15th with semi-island green where the drive from white tees is over the deep valley. What is pity that this course is course is on low maintenance, its visible everywhere that there is lack of money and its miracle how good they are able to hold it at the moment. Over all this is still must for every golfer who likes interesting parkland courses, cause its great layout.

Der lange Weg mit 90min vom Südufer des Balaton in den Südwesten nahe der kroatischen Grenze war es wert. Ich empfehle die Landstraße #67, dann #61 in s/w Richtung bis KAPOSMÉRŌ. Alles andere kostet neue Stoßdämpfer! Angekommen „in the middle of nowhere“ findest Du keinen Proshop, kein Restaurant und kein Clubhaus im eigentlichen Sinne. Aus einem alten Herrenhaus und vermutlich Stallungen haben die Eigentümer durch Restauration wunderschön strahlende Gebäude wiederauferstehen lassen. Du bekommst das Gefühl, in ihr Wohnzimmer eingeladen zu sein. Das Anwesen wirkt unvollkommen, aber äußerst gepflegt und Farbenfroh. Leider setzt sich diese Wahrnehmung am Golfplatz nicht fort. Die einfach gehaltenen Übungsanlagen sind weit entfernt. Die Distanzen zwingen zur Nutzung eines Karts. Das Wegenetz ist unzureichend. Es mangelt an Ausschilderung. Mit überalterten Driving Range Bällen kann man aber in unendliche Weite oder das kurze Spiel üben. Das stumpfe, langsame Putting Grün ließ eine Ahnung aufkommen. Irgendwie sollten wir die #1 finden (nicht jeder Weg auf Google Maps ist heute noch gut nutzbar) und erfreuten uns an dem, was vor vielen Jahren geschaffen wurde. Ein abwechslungsreicher, anspruchsvoller und nie langweiliger Parkland Course. In Teilen hügeliges Gelände, leicht ondulierte Fairways und Hanglagen fordern das gesamte Repertoire der Schläger und Schwünge ab. Natur als Teil der Hindernisse und Herausforderungen. Besonders das Z Dogleg der #4 wie die #16 mit all ihrem Wasser sind mir in Erinnerung geblieben. So wunderschön der Park geworden ist, so bedauerlich habe ich die unzureichenden Teeboxen und schwachen Grüns wahrgenommen. Dem Platz kommt nicht die notwendige Pflege zu. Unter dem Strich bleibt der Eindruck einer vertanen Chance, wirklich THE NATIONAL zu sein, sondern nur ein Platz mit viel altem Charme und verblassenden Ansprüchen. Trotzdem: eine Reise und Erfahrung wert. Gut Essen kann man 2km nördlich im Főnix Fogadó Kadarkút.

It is great nice and beautiful. The People are friendly. They have very good buggies.

One of the best kept secrets in golf. A hidden gem in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful parkland course built in stunning nature and kept in excellent condition. I play it almost every year and very often you have the course to yourself. You do not come here for the pro shop (there is none) or drinks on a busy terrace afterwards (it is never busy). Neither can you have dinner here. But the course is exciting with a couple of truly memorable holes. Do take a buggy as there are a few holes with steep climbs.

Golf course is in much better shape us we expected. Fairways are excellent, green's wery good. Good to play for wery good golfers also.
