Golf Club Budersand Sylt

Wunderschön in die Sylter Dünen integriert, der heftige Westwind lässt die Bälle je nach Bahn spannende Kurven machen, aber im Rough findet man die Bälle gut wieder.. Die Grüns waren recht langsam und auch die langen Fairways nicht so hart wie erwartet. Nach 18 Loch weiß man, was man getan hat und kann die vielen schönen Erlebnisse im lobenswerten Clubhaus Revue passieren lassen.

Fantastische golfbaan op loopafstand van de jachthaven waar wij met onze boot lagen, super goed restaurant erbij waar we eerder al een keer fantastisch hadden gedineerd. De baan is mooie uitgelegd met afwisselende holes, greens niet al te snel. Met NW wind kracht 5 bedt een uitdaging, buiten de baan was bal goed te vinden doordat rough niet al te hoog was. Na afloop geluncht in het hotel met uitzicht over het wad, kortom top ervaring

From the moment we arrived, Budersand impressed us. The welcome was exceptionally warm and professional, setting the tone for what turned out to be one of Germany's finest golfing experiences. Can Budersand compete with the legendary links of Scotland and Ireland? In my opinion, not quite. Those courses benefit from centuries of golfing history, quirky bounces, and unforgettable blind shots that have become part of their character. But considering that Budersand is a modern German golf course, the achievement is remarkable. It captures the spirit of links golf better than almost anywhere else in continental Europe and delivers an immensely enjoyable round. The course was presented in excellent condition. The fairways are generous enough to encourage aggressive play, yet the strategic bunkering and ever-present wind ensure you never lose concentration. Unlike many traditional links, the rough is fair—you can usually find your golf ball, even if escaping with a good score is another matter. The greens were fast, true, and demanded complete attention throughout the round. One of Budersand's greatest strengths is its variety. Every hole feels different, with an outstanding collection of par threes that change dramatically depending on the wind. On every visit the course has played differently, proving that, like every self-respecting links, the weather is an integral part of the design. The firm, fast-running fairways reward imagination and make the course enjoyable for players of every length. Personally, I would have loved to see a few more of the classic blind shots that make Scottish links golf so memorable. Budersand hints at that traditional style but remains a little more modern and forgiving throughout. Unfortunately, we never got to experience the closing stretch. A spectacular North Sea thunderstorm rolled in just as we reached the 17th hole, forcing everyone off the course before we could finish 17 and 18. It was disappointing, but also a reminder that nature ultimately has the final say on a true links course. Budersand may not replace Kingsbarns, Lahinch or Royal Portrush on my personal list, but it doesn't need to. It stands proudly as one of Germany's greatest golf courses and a destination every links enthusiast should experience. If you enjoy firm turf, strategic golf, changing winds and outstanding conditioning, Budersand deserves a place high on your golfing bucket list.

Ein absoluter Top-Platz auf Sylt. Der Links Course ist hervorragend gestaltet, sehr abwechslungsreich und in einem exzellenten Pflegezustand. Jeder Abschlag bringt neue Herausforderungen, die Spielbahnen sind spannend geführt und bieten echten Links-Golf-Charakter – für mich einer der besten Plätze in Deutschland. Ein paar Punkte trüben das Gesamtbild leicht: Die Gastronomie war während meines Besuchs geschlossen, was nach der Runde etwas schade ist. Zudem ist die aktuelle Zufahrt durch Straßenarbeiten nur über einen Umweg möglich. Verbesserungspotenzial sehe ich auch im Trainingsbereich für Gäste: Es gibt lediglich ein Putting-Grün sowie zwei Abschlagboxen ins Netz – ein Kurzspielbereich zum Chippen fehlt komplett. Fazit: Spielerisch ein absolutes Highlight mit echtem Links-Feeling und Top-Qualität. In der Infrastruktur gibt es noch Luft nach oben.

Ich spiele gerne auf Sylt Golf. Da wir unser Haus in nächster Nähe haben, spiele ich sehr gerne Budersand- Was mir allerdings ein Rätsel ist, dass dieser Platz im gesamten einige Preise und Awards gewonnen hat. Ein Platz ohne Driving Range, Putting Green, wie auch Pitch und Chip Areal - welches ausschliesslich für Hotelbesucher und Kursbesucher zur Verfügung steht, kann unmöglich Deutschlands bester Golfplatz sein. Das der Platz super viel Spass macht beim Spiel ist hervorragend, aber das drumherum muss halt eben auch passen, daher die kritische Bewertung.
